Yes.

Since we Europeans never got it i played it briefly a long time ago in rom format on my PC. But a couple of years ago i found it at a local game store and bought it.

Never got past that Magus fight though.

A new Half-Life would be nice. But it'll most likely be released at some point.

Shenmue 3 on the other hand...

I got one, but i can't seem to join any servers, keeps getting a "Your connection to the server has timed out" message.

So now you have to not only buy the game, but also develop it? This is all news to me.  
Couldn't they at least release that Alpha (or whatever it was) for a small fee to see how many were actually interested.

That's pretty much what happened with the Gamecube, but nintendo didn't give up on the console market and released the Wii. 
 
That's pretty much what will happen if the Wii U flops, there's no way in hell Nintendo will end up like SEGA.
