Why was this pushed to everyone so soon when there are still clearly so many issues with it and you specifically said in the stream where you revealed it that you had the advantage of not needing to push it to live quickly?
I would say that he is almost certainly a detriment to large parts of the company. His design philosophies still largely reflect an era that we have left behind a long time ago. He is one of the greatest game designers of all time, but every game designer eventually reaches a point at which their personal experience and accomplishments simply can't keep up with changing consumer expectations and paradigm shifts. Combine this with the fact that his words seem to be taken as gospel by Nintendo employees, and you have someone who is holding Nintendo back from being what it could (and should) be, which is a more agile and modern studio working on combining their hardware and software in meaningful and innovative ways.
I don't think that he should be fired or removed from the company, but his words should certainly not be the final say in any given matter.
I love this series, and I'd be happy to see Dan and Drew tackle another game or franchise, but Metal Gear Scanlon in and of itself is dying. They're clearly not having fun, the jokes are recycled, and the game has become stale. I loved the first 4 MGScanlons and the first 10 or so episodes of this one, but... well, I just hope that it's over soon so something can take its place.
I have put over 14 hours into the beta so far, and I plan to spend some more time tomorrow. It's the best parts of Destiny + some of the best parts of The Last of Us, like the amazing and detailed world. I went from not being interested to pre-ordering the gold edition.

I have a reason to reboost my Premium subscription. I couldn't be more excited for this. Here's hoping that they do an episode every other night instead of 2 a week, that would kill the series.
It's easily my favorite series on Giant Bomb, so every day that passes without a new episode is painful. Is there a way to know when I'll get my next fix?
