Mortal Kombat Memories.

Decided to randomly blog because I am bored and these are some fond memories I have of MK.
I remember when I borrowed the first one off my friend across the street. My Mother found out about the game and found out I had it. So she made me show her the game and how violent it was. So I specifically picked Sub-zero because he had my favorite fatality. She wasn't very pleased, but I don't think she really cared that I played it.
When my one friend got MKII for Sega Genesis I was really excited about it, but then I had to come to the realization that I had Asthma and couldn't go to his house to play it because he had 2 dogs and a Cat. I stood out front of his door trying to glimpse in his house just to try and see the game.
Another time when I was finally able to get a copy of my own of MKII, my friend and a few other guys sat around playing it. This one guy just kept doing Mileena's teleport kick and was dominating with it. We were all newbies about it and had such problems dealing with it. Not until a little time later that a simple block and an uppercut would stop him from doing those shenanigans. I wish I could have played that guy again and fucked him up. :(
The last one that sticks in my mind is when the one corner store near my school had UMK3 Arcade Cabinet. A bunch of kids from my school and the Catholic school down the street would be there before School and just play each other. The majority of the time I wouldn't even play and I'd just go there to watch people play. It was a blast just being there and being amongst those other kids.
