Games I've Finished 2018: Free time, What's that?

List items

  • I finished Endless Eclipse with every character, send help. I do wish there was a more focused character action game for Berserk. If it had the limb severing tech of Ninja Gaiden 2 that would definitely be a bonus. It just seems a little off when you do the mission where Guts gets the "100 man-slayer" title, and you end up killing over a thousand dudes.

  • Solid srpg, a genre I wish was not relegated to handhelds for the sake of my giant hands. Kinda wish there was more free time in the first playthrough and that you didn't have to beat the final boss every time to see max affinity endings.

  • Nice sendoff to a cozy series. A bit more difficult than it's previous games, and almost every character you can imagine is playable. Richard is a fucking beast. There's a lot of nice side story content too, though there's not a lot of gameplay involved in things like the moon doors. I guess I have to give Cold Steel a go at some point now.

  • Not a bad game, but I did get it for free. I think the 60's g-man aesthetic is definitely underused.

  • Gorgeous art and the game isn't bad either. Did about everything but finish both characters on Frantic, and I'm way too sloppy to even bother with some of those bosses in a 1 hit KO mode.

  • Not gonna lie. I teared up at the ending. Kind of a bummer about taking out things like gambling and weapons, though.

  • I...kinda want to rewatch Guren Lagann now. The secret route end battle was easier than I expected. I mean, all my gundams got smoked by the map weapon, but the super robots didn't give a fuck. Kinda sucks that you only get Mazinger Zero for one battle too.

  • I'm not above matching 3 to see some anime titties. What?

  • So, the part where it's a game? Fucking terrible. I can't seem to stop playing it though. Cobbling together mobile suits from various series is pretty addictive. I also like the fiction they created where you can go to school to build gundam models and also that girls know what a gundam is. Also, some of the model choices are kind of suspect. They are basically color swaps with identical ex skills in a game where you can paint pretty much everything. Baffling.

  • It's a fun game with a lot of skills that you can tinker around with to fit your play style. Also, great theme song. I do wish the map was a little more like Metroid though.

  • Decent 3rd person shooter with time powers. The Lance Reddick reaction images during the movies scenes are a definite bonus.

  • Man, that ending gets pretty wild. Much like the first Trails in the Sky game, this is a lot about setting up the world the following games are going to take place, but there's still a fairly satisfying payoff to the story. Kind of a bummer that I have to play it a second time to see some scenes I missed due to bonding point limits though.

  • Probably not going to get more than 2 boss cells, but I'm okay with that.

  • Pretty cozy jrpg. I think I dumped my entire week's vacation into it and it still took 40 more hours after that to finally finish part 3 and get the platinum.

  • It's a Yakuza game with a Fist of the North Star wrapper and I'm totally okay with that. Paid of that 100 million IDL debt and everything. The grind was real.

  • AT delay is ridiculously overpowered. That being said, it did take me a couple of tries on the Crow/Vita and epilogue boss fights. Also, I am ready for 3 now, thanks.

  • I...see why people were so mad about New Gundam Breaker.
