I'm kind of sick of having all of my files on my Macbook and my PC being super disorganized and I want to start organizing them into folders.  Thank goodness that iTunes and iPhoto automatically organize my music and pictures because then I'd be even MORE disorganized on my computer.  I thought I'd ask the Giantbomb community about their experiences, tips, ideas, and anything else in regards to organizing digital content. I just need some ideas on how to organize my junk because I don't even know where to start. 
 
Basically, I have a bunch of files (of different types) in my Documents folders, Downloads, and other places as well.  There are files from my college days that I'd still probably like to keep, PDF's of some manuals and books, photoshop files and assets that I've made for work and my spare time, reference documents, and other documents. 
 
Any ideas?
