If this was a bug that affected any of the new players they so desperately wanted to capture the attention of for ME3 it would have been patched within a few days.

Are there such "new players" as you speak of? I literally have a hard time imagining a person saying, "Oh, the third one in a series I've never played before. That's the one for me!"

Javik is KEY for thessia, I could not imagine anyone else to be alongside with for that misison.

It also helps that thessia is awesome as shit, best mission in the game.

Madness, sir. Tuchanka all the way. The giant worm, genephage cure, and the Mordin part... burnt into my brain forever as being amazing.

I used Liara and Garrus for my first playthrough. Second I'm taking EDI and James. And then Tali and Virmire.

Virmire!? Is that some new DLC? What kind of stat bonuses does a planet have, and how does that thing fit on the Normandy? ;)

Mockery aside; I played through it with my normal squad until I got to the prothean stuff. The artifacts, the VI. Knew I had to restart and bring Javik with. Hammering the subject into a living death, I can't help but be annoyed that Javik is an optional purchase-only character that is basically a regular full on character. It's almost like having to pay for Liara, or Tali.. or more realistically James. James actually might be more inconsequential than Javik, at least to me he was.

I don't get what took so long to fix it in the first place? I mean, I know "the internet" is smart, but they had a workaround damned near day one. I was able to import my Shepard's face to a satisfactory degree. I don't get what could have been so hard for Bioware, who had access and knowledge regarding their own code. I mean, I can see how a bug like this slips by, most play testing was done in an environment that didn't start with ME1 faces, but still, it couldn't be that hard to fix.

I never felt like there was a mystery or explanation needed for Udina. He's a total asshole, but he has always been looking out for humans in his own way. His viewpoint is not at all different from Cerberus' in that humans come first above all. He felt the current plans weren't helping Earth enough, so he teamed up with Cerberus because he thought they might be able to get shit done. That said, I couldn't wait to shoot the fucker. Couldn't stand him from day one. I loathed every time I had to have some kind of interaction with that douche, and mostly tried to be as rude to him as possible.

Honestly, it had been a while since I played ME1 or 2, (like when they came out) and I didn't notice Mordin's voice being different. Udina looked like how I remembered him, and Bailey was so way vaguely familiar they could have made him a black dude and I might not have noticed.

@Z3RO180: You know, I never really though much about using the mass relays to propagate the energy. That makes some sense, but surly there must be some reapers not near a mass relay? I had just assumed it was some kind of thing that just destroyed the relays. guess I was distracted with my thoughts just focusing on the relays being destroyed. The only problem though is that the same results happen no matter which ending you pick, so the energy going out to control the reapers, or bond with them shouldn't destroy the relays. :/ I'm fine with Shepard dying, but the game basically also kills space itself. Plus the whole remaining military force in our solar system thing I mentioned.

" But ultimately, what the hell does the Synthesize ending mean, and why does it mean we don't need to be wiped out by Synthetics (or Biosynthetics) every 50,000 years anymore?"

The question about this, to me, is why is Joker all green glowy at this ending? Is he a robit?

Honestly, I wasn't mad when it ended, but like some kind of old person I had made the wrong choice without knowing it. I thought I'd be given an option when going to the light, because the other two platforms looked like backdrop to me, but instead I just fell in. I wanted to choose to destroy the reapers. So I was willing to go through it again, but it was long, so I thought, first I'll check Youtube to see if it was worth doing again... only to discover all the endings being nearly identical. Then I became angry. Furious! I was angry for a while. Then, a friend of mine who hadn't played the series and was wanting to told me he wasn't going to anymore because he heard about the ending. That got me thinking about how much of a great game it WAS and being so angry was kind of a knee-jerk reaction, and how much of it would be a shame for my friend to not play. I'm not mad anymore because I DO think it's worth playing through, despite the bad ending, as long as you're expecting it.

@Z3RO180: I agree about the indoctrination thing. It makes me angry how hard people are trying to fit something into a box that they created. I wanted to destroy the reapers, but it doesn't make sense to me that it will somehow affect the Geth, and EDI. That feels like it's just thrown in there to make the choice seem like a bad one. I think destroying synthetic life doesn't outright mean people will rebuild them and be destroyed by them. Maybe the next time they are rebuilt, things will be different. You can't say one way or the other :/

However, I think the mass relays being destroyed is super stupid. Cutting off all of the galaxy from one another, and oh yeah, stranding the entirety of the galaxy's multiracial military force in a solar system with one inhabitable planet - Dumb.

It's come to my attention that some people have become unfairly upset about the Mass Effect 3 ending. So I have come up with a plan that can please everybody. Even people happy with the ending can enjoy in creating a new ending for the series with my system!

Following this template, you also can create however you want the game to end with little to no imagination too!

In Mad-Libs tradition, you simply fill in the following blanks, sit back, read your newly created ending, and enjoy the ride. Unfortunately you will have to picture the outcome in your mind, but I have a sneaking suspicion that it will be very easy to do, with the help of my non-patented system!

1 - Verb

2 - noun (object)

3 - Color

4 - Irregular verb

5 - Mass Effect Character

6 - Mass Effect Character

7 - Mass Effect Character

8 - verb

9 - celebrity

10 - answer 1, past tense

Here are a list of my examples :

1 - hump

2 - wallet

3 - chartreuse

4 - inbreed

5 - Barla Von

6 - Richard Jenkins

7 - Harbinger

8 - giggle

9 - Burgess Meredith

10 - humped

After amassing all of the galaxy's military prowess, Commander Shepard is finally ready to take down the Reapers! Going down to Earth, he fights his way through a semi-exciting battle to get past a reaper, and into some kind of light beam that transports him to the Citadel. After meeting Admiral Anderson, and having a pleasant conversation with The Illusive Man; Commander Shepard is confronted by some kind of Ghost Baby. The Ghost Baby explains to him that there are a multitude of ways that the galaxy can be saved or destroyed, and Commander Shepard must pick one. Making the obvious choice, Shepard chooses to 1________ the reapers! But the decision has a cost. It costs Shepard his 2________. Exploding forth from the citadel, a brilliant ball of 3________ light begins to envelope the galaxy, affecting all Reapers. As quickly as they came, they 4________, never to harm the galaxy again. Right as this is happening, trusty Normandy pilot Jeff "Joker" Moreau makes an inexplicable break for a Mass Relay! He makes the jump, being chased by the same 3________ energy as the ball of power. He makes it out just in time in a dramatic fashion that doesn't at all resemble the ending of Independence Day! Finally he crash lands on the nearest planet to the random mass relay he comes out of, which happens to have a breathable atmosphere, and seems safe enough. The battered Normandy shuttle door opens, and we see pilot Jeff "Joker" Moreau emerge from the ship. With him comes his good friend 5_______, and shortly after that 6________ and 7________ come out also. They seem happy enough. But wait! Suddenly it is revealed that a vague N7 pile that could be Shepard suddenly 8_________s to prove that Shepard might be alive! Roll Credits. After the credits, we see 9________ telling his grandson a touching story about how the great Shepard 10________ the reapers, even though he had no way of actually knowing that happened. The End.

Have fun!

The problem with the suicide mission, and choosing not to play through it again, is that you're not given the information needed as a game. Mass Effect is a game, not life. I played through, and thought I picked correctly, and several characters died. I wondered, what did I do wrong? Why did this happen? I look online to see that the answer to this question is : I didn't do what Bioware wanted me to do. That's not fair. There are variables that you have no way of knowing before choosing who does what, and the consequences of making those "wrong" choices (which like I said, you couldn't possibly know was the case). is you just don't get those people in the next game, potentially crippling it. I could have experimented over and over to try and see what would give me a satisfactory ending, but the ending sequence is lengthy, and there could be so many variables to choose from what could make what happen. Looking online, I just saved time. Would Patrick have lived with his choices if damned near every character died, because he just happened to pick more "wrong" answers than right ones? Not likely.

Remedy straight up just went for the Microsoft exclusive deal, smart business especially considering the state of the company at the time of release however they shot themselves in the foot by trying to justify such a move and keep some credibility amongst the pc market that had waited 4 years for the title.

It's not so much it's late rather than it seems like they see the pc market as a means to re-release a game that's had it's run.

This news makes me very angry. When I first heard about Alan Wake, being a huge Remedy fan, I was so excited. Then they pulled the plug on the PC version, and I was pissed off. A while after, it was on sale for xbox, and I picked it up. I had it shelved for quite a while until I finally got around to playing it. I just LITERALLY just finished the xbox version to come here and see there is a PC version coming out. Every multiplatform game that comes out, I play on PC because it always looks much much better. It absolutely does seem like they're cashing in on a re-release. If you're going to piss on me, don't come back two years later and try to wipe it off.

I haven't had any problems before this evening/tonight. It's a bit better, the video is going in progressive mode and pauses about every.. 15 seconds? Before it just wasn't going at all. I clicked download to get the file and manually watch it, and it was downloading at like 30Kbps. Slow Slow. Don't know what's up.
