I enjoyed watching this Quick Look after work. My general knowledge of the world is no better or worse than Dan or Jeff. Food turns up at the store, there's something to do with documentaries in-between that. I knew about chickens and eggs. Watching Dan reverse between a tree and a lamppost while they discuss conspiracy theories was great.
Loved the ghostly laughing Dan barely visible after they played the devil pony game. So disturbing. Nice touch, Jason. (Coincidence that it started to appear after the first beer?)
Appreciate you guys trying to chat with this guy, but he has almost nothing interesting to say. Gave up listening after 20 mins. He seems to stick to the record, and doesn't let his guard down. Not your fault, just maybe a bad choice of guest, who knows?
Good review of a challenging game (but not challenging to play). It should be noted the game is 1-2 hours long.
Near the end I was wondering how Giant Bomb, who tend to take a more personal look at games, might review a game that examines how others look at other people's games, and not necessarily with pleasant conclusions.
The "is it true, is it just a lie" thing doesn't matter to me. I often wonder that during movies that claim to be "inspired" by true life events. If the premise of the game is made up, that's even more impressive.
What for me is most magical about this game is that we have the birth of a new genre. The documentary as it would appear in videogame form, and also the personal blog. Both are given the videogame shake-down and this is a good stab at how they might look. For me, that is incredibly exciting.
