My Favourite Games.
Just my favourite videogames.
Just my favourite videogames.
Brutal game that never managed to truly anger me, despite its fervent efforts. Holds some kind of magic over me that I can't really explain.
The original is arguably better, but the original doesn't have Lucky Hit, so it loses automatically.
It's probably Virtua Tennis 2, but it's TENNIS 2K2 in the GB database and ugh at that name. The original is still glorious, though.
A nostalgia trip more than anything. Super Turbo is surely the better game, but SFA2 was the first time I latched on to fighting games, and they haven't let go.
It's a toss up between this and S3&K. Ignore Jeff, Sonic CD is not good.
The high point of the most in-depth and satisfying fighting series to yet exist.
The grandaddy of danmaku, which opened the door to shmups for me via worrying spirals of Sega Saturn collecting.
The atmosphere is nailed, the driving is nailed, and the soundtrack is NAILED.
Fond memories of war with my sister coupled with fond(?) memories of wanting to break controllers when it just won't give you the goddamn colour you need.
I love golf games. I lost years to Pangya. Everybody's Golf is masterful as a series, and the second PSP game is its peak in my opinion.
I've spent many pound coins in a Wangan cabinet. Bringing single player progress to the arcade was genius, and the accessible speed junkie nature of Wangan breeds competition perfectly.
An almost ritualistic holiday tradition, flying through the christmas tree Ideya makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.
The game that made me realise I like beating other people. Clan wars at Shoppa remain fond memories or early teenage years.
