@Vitor: From what I hear, it's literally impossible to join games with the max number of players, you'll usually only get a handful.

Had no idea it was that bad - just cancelled my order. Tight on money as is and would rather have that go towards something like From Dust when it gets released on PC instead.

Major bummer. Really liked the look of a lot of the ideas they were trying to implement in this game.

If you're playing PC, you can search for servers.  Sadly, there's only ten or so with more than three people in them, but those with people have a dedicated player base, so you'll almost always be able to play with others.  Still, it's no huge hit, or anything.

I enjoy the game, and I really hope Bethesda or Splash Damage or whoever is controlling marketing for it will be smart and put it on a Steam sale soon, especially with the promise of free DLC...  That should add in a handful of new people, I pray.

I bought the game for 60% off from Amazon ($20 and free shipping), and I don't regret a thing.  I rented the game months ago and had a blast, and I'm still loving it today.

There is a distinct lack of players, though.  I hope that it'll bubble up somehow from any type of Steam sale, but I don't see that happening.  It's too bad.  Brink really is a fun game.

Did you guys not watch the same Conference as me? That new console and controller look fucking awesome. I can't WAIT to see what developers come up with. In fact this is the only press conference I watched from start to finish without being bored. And I haven't even touched my Wii for a very very long time... I loved the speeches, very inspiring and it looks like they actually still care about us hardcore gamers. Outstanding job Nintendo.
Hey, it looks cool.  I'm just wary because Nintendo's last "innovative" system ended up gathering dust in everyone's back rooms, and the only worthwhile games for the system didn't even need the stupid motion controls.  I see potential for this, but there's also potential for a lot of shitty implementation, which is bound to happen.

While everyone else is too busy staring at their screens with a confused look on their faces, I've been totally converted.  Haven't owned a Nintendo system since the SNES. Laughed at the Wii when it was announced. Laughed at the Wii while watching every Nintendo E3 conference since.  TOTALLY GETTING THIS  First thing that pops into my mind looking at the controller is an RPG. You always have to go into a menu to access your items and equipment and such. You could totally have that screen available the whole time, in the controller.   That thing totally just eliminated the need for pause menu screens.
So you would buy that just so you could hop into your inventory whenever you needed...

You realize you would have to pause playing the game in order to sort through what you want to grab, right?

Sly Cooper, Jak and Daxter, and Ratchet & Clank: the three platformers that made the PS2 great.  I want a PS3 for this game, now...

This isn't all that surprising.  Of course making shit in their games using their tools and publishing it on their servers will have some legal agreement beforehand explaining that they own all the rights.  It's to be expected that they could do that.  How do you think Zombies became a gametype in Halo?  Or Grifball?  The point is, they're not going to ask for your permission to advertise something you made when it's in their game in the first place.

Fucking Dragon Age II...  One of the worst games I've played.  It's nice to know they're rushing out a third one to cash in again.  The worst part is that they're sticking with the changes they made in Dragon Age II.  If you fuck up Mass Effect, your end will be final, Bioware.
Woah woah woah, hold the goddamn phone. Dragon Age 2 is one of the worst games you have ever played? How many games do you actually play? Also, how the hell do you they're sticking with the changes? They haven't even formally announced it yet. Fucking people jumping to conclusions all the time.....
There was actually an interview in which one of the devs flat-out stated that they would not go back to the original formula for DAIII.  :|  I didn't jump to conclusions, I based it off of fact.

And yes, I do find this game to be among the worst.  Dumbed-down RPG elements, horrible characters, horrible story, horrible ending, horrible pacing, horrible setting, horrible re-use of environments, horrible combat, horrible quests, characters that seem to want to jump your cock any time you make one flirtatious comment towards them, and then that ending.  Oh...  Oh, dear god, that ending.

I was okay with the game at first, but when I kept playing to realize it was all the same shit over and over, and then I wasn't even given the satisfaction of a good ending, that sealed the deal with this game.

Why does everyone hear "Facebook Movie" and freak the hell out?  The movie isn't at all just about Facebook, it's just about the time leading up to its creation.  David Fincher has made quite a few great movies, and the trailer just makes me want to see it more.
