Learning it was a roguelike, or roguelite and seeing the combat was discouraging. Watching Brad and Jan play through this has changed my mind. Looks interesting.
Weird. We have Comcast, and do not have their streaming box. I went to Peacock's website and signed up there, and was able to link my Comcast account there. I can sign into the Peacock app anywhere now: PC, Apple etc. Its free and the ads arent too bad.
Wow they did a great job with Colorado. I stepped away for a moment, came back and thought, "Wow that looks a lot like Glenwood Canyon". Sure enough he passes a sign for Hanging Lake. Made this drive dozens of times. Very cool!
Most of the GB crew has never had any love for anything MGS or Kojima related.
Before MGSV, everyone made fun of how he's better off making movies and how he's understanding of politics was too unrealistic and farfetched.
When MGSV came out everyone complained about how the texture was bad and how, after 30 hrs of game, the last chapter was empty, eventhough it was made while the team was basically held hostage by Konami. And, because Quiet wears a bikini.
Then death stranding comes out and the only guy who'd ever defended anything MGS related starts shouting obscenities every time the game's mentioned.
Where's the Jeff Gerstmann who was in the Gamespot's MGS4 GOTY recording? Where was all the love for MGSV's gameplay when the game was discussed for GOTY discussion. Who appreciated Solidus and Armstrong's characters back in the day.
I guess it's all a joke until it isn't.
I know it's all in good spirit, but, sometimes, a kind comment would go much further than a sardonic remark for the sake of being witty for one minute.
There's never gonna be another MGS. The whole stealth genre is in the gutter as far as I'm concerned. But I guess some people had a laugh at the expense of some dude and his team who has a cult following. I'd say to heck with fanaticism, but to heck with overreacting backlash, as well.
