" Yeah about the RPGs comming a long way, they really havent. Im in the middle of playing Star Ocean TLH and there are like small changes but its really the same thing, and dont get me wrong i love kotor, and liked mass effect, but even now i still dont see them being better than FFVII. Therefore, saying they would loose money is completely missguided. Your right with what your saying, but they wouldnt have to totally remake the game really, just the graphics and cut scenes is really all theyd have to do. And you cant actually think that the game wouldnt sell. Why do you think Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus even exist, because its prbly the most popular game ever made. Im just saying it would make Square Enix a lot more money than what they are making right now on their DS games and there last shitty FF game and so far from what i see a not so great star ocean game.So obviously its not gonna get it made by talking about it, but i just dont see why they wouldnt make it. Especially if there next FF tanks like the last one.And for some reason it seems like 90% of the people in the giant bomb forums are haters. FFVII was a pretty obvious case of being in the right place at the right time, and was a hell of a lot of people's first experience with J-RPGs. I'm not a huge fan of the genre and didn't make it more than a few hours into FFVII, but I have no issues saying that what is there isn't as objectively good or well-designed as Mass Effect or KotOR, mostly because it was made in the late 90s and we're comparing it to games from more recent generations. My reasons for that are in another point you made which is significantly more valid - J-RPGs haven't really come a long way. For every TWEWY and Persona you have that's doing something a little different, you have a jillion mediocre J-RPGs that only hardcore fans care about because they do little different than the PS1 games that laid the modern foundation for the genre.

I read the "free head shots" shirt as "free nerd shots" and it was 100 times funnier. I probably buy the nerd shots shirt if it has anything but Halo on it.
