Because it's always taken wherever I try it and I'm glad I can finally use the name I've been using for the 8-letter-max in-game names since I was a kid.
Prince of Persia: Warrior Within. There is a bug right before the final boss fight where if you save before jumping into a sand time machine (or whatever that thing is), you can't proceed and you have to restart. That game was far worse than the first and third games so there was no way I was about to go through that entire thing again so I just watched the last 8 minutes on youtube.
On the last bombcast, they mentioned the Soul Blade intro. I realized that I'd forgotten how kickass that intro movie was and watched it several times. I was then at work, singing it in my head when I realized what it was really saying. Before the song starts, the voice-over guy says "transending history and the world, a tale of souls and swords eternally retold." Seeing it in retrospect and knowing what the series has become I now realize it wasn't just some cool sounding phrase they were sayings, but those developers were actually telling us, "look, the plot doesn't go from game to game and the setting will change, but we're basically going to tell the same story over and over again until the end of the series."
Yep....totally feeling that way right about now. I'll probably still visit though....I have about 8,000 posts there and I don't feel right just abandoning that.
