@wampa1: Come on man. Computer 101 stuff here. Unless you have an image which is unlikely you need to start from the beginning and install Windows after doing something major like swapping motherboards. How did you manage to throw together a bunch of parts (even if they are bottlenecked) and miss the software part and then wonder why it's jacked up? If you are a system builder you need an instal able version of you OS of choice.

@yummylee: who cares if he died? He was just another heroin addict. The same as any other junkie who died in a condemned apartment with a needle sticking out of their arms.

I tried off and on but the two main male hosts speak too effeminately to listen to, the guest female host is annoying, and the podcast is way too Nintendo and Pokemon centric. 2 out of 5

Wow. I'd just like to know what happened at giantbomb. It seems like everyone has Dark Souls fever out of nowhere. I'm glad the guys now see the truth and love the Dark Souls gives you upon extended play but I'd like to know what the trigger for their combined love comes from.

In addition to HW: Ship Breakers the remakes of the first two Homeworld games have also gone dark. I haven't seen hide nor hair since last years PAX Prime presentation.

That's e life of a Finnish conscript I guess. The only time I didn't game in the volunteer US Army was basic training. Hell, I had a full tower PC setup in my AIT wall locker back in the day playing RPGs and unreal tournament. I remember on day my drill sergeant walked in and saw me fragging bots and he just stood there and told me to kill something, smirked and walked off.

I was hoping this would be an odd occurrence here and there but it appears this will soon be widespread. EB Games is hiking the prices of games like Destiny, Watch Dogs, Dying Light and others to $69.99 while other games coming out soon, like Tomb Raider Definitive Edition and Thief, are being raised to $64.99.

Futureshop is jumping on the bandwagon as well raising Nintendo Wii U games above their previous standard to $54.99, Donkey Kong being the prime example. It's only a matter of time before all other retailers follow.

So my fellow Canadians what will you do during this price hike crisis? I have already cancelled any pre-orders I have at these retailers and am planning to go all digital, with perks like PSN not charging sales tax.

Good. You have to pay for all those socialist programs somehow.

Well looking at the poll results and comparing it against the demographics of Giantbomb taken from the PAX audiences of the past few years it looks like one can say the "not racist" matches the percentage of white people. Judging from their culture over well....forever, they aren't qualified to say anything isn't racist since they are always the worst offenders or are fine with letting racist do their thing under their noses. So yes, Speedy Gonzales, the WB singing frog, the Taco Bell dog, and those old Steam Boat Mickey era cartoons showing black people in them are all extremely racist.

I have a preference in physically owning all my games. This lead to me not using Steam as much as other people or buying my PC games physically and activating them in Steam (although that's changed a bit in the past few years and I buy a lot more stuff then before). Even though space is sometimes an issue, I feel like I actually own a thing when I can hold it.

My question is how people can trust paying all that money on digital services, especially on consoles, when things like the GFWL fiasco can happen. How can you guys be willing to put all that money into something, when you don't know that you will have access to it forever? I mean, sure companies like Steam are more reliable, but what if you wanna hand down some game to your great great grandchildren as like an antique game back before things became virtual reality?

Just hearing that certain games might not transition over from the GFWL scenario makes me shake my head. I enjoy Microsoft and Sony's game services, but hearing about those sorts of things makes me apprehensive in starting an all digital library. Don't even get me started on Nintendo... I haven't played the new Phoenix Wright game (my second favorite franchise for DS) because the shit that is called the Nintendo online services...

I take it you are new to pc gaming. The only reason anyone uses GFWL or Origin are there when pc gamers are forced to play on a console or not play at all. Steam is your friend, your lover, your confidant.
