2022 Best Old Games
This list was easier to think about when I didn't play so many damned games >.<
Excluding FTL: Faster Than Light because It'd literally be at the top of this list every year for all time.

On top of my usual yearly playthrough this year I discovered a modding community that were making custom levels for this game and it's rejuvenated my already intense love for this game.
Between this, the remake of 2 and 7, Resident Evil is on quite a streak! If history is anything to go by that means they'll fuck it up soon.
Thank god for Microsoft supporting backwards compatibility like they do because it would be a damned shame if this game was lost to time
What a beautiful game. On the one hand, glad I waited to play this on something that can run it adequately, on the other I missed out on playing this amazing game earlier.
Very engrossing story and unlike the one Yakuza game I played, I actually enjoyed the punching of dudes
Okay, maybe this was the best Mass Effect game all along.
At this point my Switch is a dedicated Isaac machine and I'm completely fine with that.
Played this twice. Once before the RE4make trailer and once after. Maybe I'll go for the PlayStation platinum before the remake is out.
They really went all out for this remaster. The cutscenes are gorgeous and the story told therein is fantastic.
New phone means.... NEW GAME DEV STORY SAVE. Maybe the best phone game ever
The pixel remaster. Finally crossing this off my Final Fantasy to play list. Very enjoyable throughout, despite, in classic Final Fantasy fashion, being lost at various points.
Played on my journey through all the KH games. Still as good today as it was when I was 13
A game I never thought I'd return to but here I am. Looking forward to it coming to Gamepass eventually so I can get all the achievements again.
A fun, relaxing game with a surprisingly deep story. Way more fun than actual unpacking.
still fun killing zaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaambies :)
