I have not posted on this site in something like 10 years but thought I should leave a comment. Hearing this news has caused a really strong reaction in me. I feel really sad about it but its also been an amazing journey. It got me thinking about how long I have been following these guys. I started listening to them on the Hotspot back in 2006 and now I'm 30. That's about 15 years and half my life. I have been listening to these guys almost every week in that time and its really hard to think that its been so long. So much stuff in my life has changed but the podcast and the videos the guys put out were always there and always great. It really feels like the end of an era for this type of games coverage and this type of site. I just wanted to say thanks to the guys for all the laughs and great times over the years. I wish them the best of luck in everything that they do.

I don't expect them to go away anytime soon since they have a ton of money in the bank and they can probably survive the WiiU bombing. After that though they really need to get back in the game. Quite frankly they should start making new first party IP that make people actually want to buy a Nintendo console, a crazy idea I know. They get a pass from seemingly everybody for rehashing the same stuff over and over again. The only good games they make anymore are the big 3D Mario games which get long breaks between releases and are timeless so they don't really need to move on.

Fanservice: The DLC. That's what it sounds like and when Bioware does fan service in Mass Effect they really over do it. I should probably replay this game probably won't get the DLC though.

The specs are mighty impressive. It has 8GB of DDR5 memory. I don't even want to know how much this will all cost or what kind of hit Sony will take if they subsidize it. Everything looked great although every thing about the Destiny reveal from last week and now today has seemed like a real disappointment, like they still haven't really showed anything. Still crazy that Bungie is on stage at a Sony event.

I really have to wonder what MS has up their sleeve to top this especially if they can top or match the specs, I mean 8gb of DDR5!

I don't the page for videos. I don't like how the video is displayed to the right hand side. I sort of miss the fourms at the bottom of the home page and these threads all look kinda ugly to me with the left hand alignment. The site also looks way too zoomed in but it's not as bad as other sites with the same design idea.

Why would you need a special suit to withstand freezing temperatures when every suit can easily cope with going into space?

I was going to wait to buy it but according to NeoGaf the game gets way better in the middle and the demo is a poor representation of the game. However the cover based shooting always looks and plays pretty poorly. I would imagine reviews will be 4 stars with the negatives being the cover based shooting and a poor resolution to the story assuming its the last game that is. I am fairly confident it will be a decent game and there is nothing else really out.

The poor cover mechanics and shoot outs against regular Unitologist guys was one of the major gripes I had with the demo, but it is only a demo after all and hopefully such scenarios won't be particularly prominent. Or there'll at least always be some additional necromorphs being throw into the fray so you can optionally sit back and bask in the AI-on-AI violence.

The AI Vs AI stuff in the demo while limited looked really poor to me. The neromorphs just looked like they pushed the other guys over like as soon as they touched them they were dead. Don't really mind the idea of fighting humans because it had to happen eventually given how the last two games were going with the story. Not fighting humans was handled really well in Dead Space 2 though. I thought the bit when you switch off the defenses and the necromorphs pour in on the soldiers near the end of 2 to be one of the best moments in the game but then again pretty much every moment in that game is a best moment.

I liked Bens reviews for Ars haven't followed him since but he looks a complete coward for not actually addressing the guy he has a problem with. Its the lowest of the low especially after the guy addressed the issue. The longer he goes on like this the deeper the hole will get.

In my opinion they interact with Giantbomb fans all the time and with those who do cool things but generally dislike the vast majority of the forum users. A lot of the fans post this stuff on the forums but there is a distinction between those two types of people. They don't really need to post here since I do know Brad reads a lot and post a lot on NeoGaf, so does Patrick, and the rest only interact when they really need to but none really post here. I don't really blame them for not posting since forums aren't for every one. More importantly however they interact with the fans in other ways like Jar Time, TNT. They meet people in person at PAX, they used to let people visit them at their office, Jeff and Ryan randomly live stream stuff like their commute if your really interested and they interact in really every live show they do and of course on Twitter where they talk and interact a ton. They answer emails on the Bombcast and if you really want to know what they think of a certain thing then chances are there is a QL, show, or Bombcast where they discuss it. From the forum side of things you sometimes get a weird vibe of "Wow they never interact" but that's if your only interaction with GB is through the web site. But like the other poster stated the forum users are not the GB community which is important to remember. Didn't they say that most of the people who listen to the Bombcast never actually visit the rest of the site?

And finally these forums are pretty much total garbage anyway, terrible topics, shitty users and equally awful mods means that these forums are 99% crap most of the time. I am not joking. Most of the users on the site are childish assholes who are weirdly obsessive about the GB staff. The only people who I enjoyed making an apparence where RyanWho and HandsomeDead, both were assholes but at least they had some interesting things to say.
