This was the first game machine I owned, It was brought to my family by Santa claws when I was around 6, At the time I had little idea what a computer was but my older brother (who had asked for this) was extremely excited and so I was too

Technically I didn't own this one, My older brother bought this for him self when I was about 10, So this was around 1990-1991 After a couple of years he was sick of it and gave it to me. I spent many hours playing this, and I loved it even though the graphics and sound weren't as nice as the Amiga, This was a console defined by its games not by how nice they looked

Technically the first game console I owned, I got this for what must have been my 13th birthday. Though living in Australia I had the much nicer looking version (IMO) super punch out was my first game which came as a packin with the console, It was quite some time before I could aford another game

I think this was the first console I payed for with my own money, I got this when I was 15 or so working my first part time job collecting trollies for a local supermarket. I'll never forget my introduction to goldeneye, I was out for a number of hours one day, When I came home I found my best friend sitting in my room playing golden eye on my 64, I said "how long have you been here?" , "A few hours" He replied, "Your brother said you wouldn't be long and let me in, Then he went out". Then we played for the rest of the day

When I got this I was playing on my sony trinitron 34cm (13 inches), over a RF adapter, I can't remember If i got project gothem racing or Halo first, But I do remember buying Halo. I still love the smell of a newly opened xbox game.

The first (and only) console I've bought on launch day, I still remember when I picked it up some kid was standing there with his mother, he'd obviously convinced her that he needed to take the day off school in order to secure one, When they went up to the counter the girl there said "Preorder", they answered "No?, what do you mean preorder" to which the girl said "Sorry I have to process the preorders first", they had to step to the back of the line meanwhile his mother realised that he didn't have to take the day off school and they didn't have to get there early, She slapped him across the back of the head, Not sure if he still got his xbox

This was an interesting one, It came out and I convinced myself that I didn't need to get it ... For a whole day, Then whilst driving my now wife home from surgery (It was minor) the bug got to me, I asked if she would mind if we took a detour on the way home and I picked this up, As it turns out it was the last one in stock and shops were constantly sold out for the next 6 months or so, Unfortunate that there weren't many must have titles on this

Like so many others I'm sure, I bought this as a blueray player with no intention of playing anything except exclusives, Over the next 2 years or so it slowly crept in until it occured to me that I never turned my xbox on anymore except for exclusives, People told me this would happen but I didn't believe them

This was a kind of a birthday gift to myself in around 2004, I think my (now) wife might have chipped in some money towards it
