Part of my apprehension (at least with RPGs) is the possibility of fucking up and having to restart. I don't find playing with a guide especially quick either, but that might be the only way to get Persona 3 into my memories and out of my pile.

It's soon to get on my backlog in about a week. I'm keen to get it started, to be honest. I've had the rest of the series on my steam wishlist but never pulled the trigger. As a console pleb, this might be the one to get something of a foothold.

I think the Embracer exodus probably takes it.

Can someone give me a quick and easy Sweet Baby Inc rundown? Is it just the developers deciding to use them for writing or is there something actually iffy about it? Or is the mess the GAMER RAGE?

I should've messed with that more with my questions. Like really dance around it before ChatGPT gets angry.

I wouldn't mind an LA Noire style game where you could get everyone gathered in the dining room and just pin the murder on someone. And then Scotland Yard is all, "Damn it, Miss. Marple. You get results."

I enjoyed it and can't disagree with your write up. It feels like a solid foundation and the emphasis on puzzles and exploration does give it a vibe more distinct than Resident Evil and Silent Hill. I think expectations are met quite handsomely here.

I should check out what the directors commentary is like.

"Oh, come on." was my verbal response. Don't even put those in rotation, man.

I have one and it's a fairly obvious. I compare all soccer games to PES. FIFA's ... fine but it doesn't do the PES things so I only take a slight dabble in it. Even when it comes to things distinctly FIFA like the Ultimate Team stuff, I only get into that nightmare when it's part of a PES/eFootball (eurgh) package.

The 3D Platformer debate is a little different. Sure, Mario 64 laid the marker but I couldn't imagine Lara Croft wahooing all over the place. And yes, I am considering Tomb Raider a 3D platformer. 'cos it is.
