Games I have finished

This is a list of games that I've finished recently. I'm not going to list everything I've ever finished, but this list will help me keep track of what I've been playing.

List items

  • Finished this game on 2020-12-12 - more than eight years after I started. This is a great game.

  • I finished this game on 2020-07-22, the day it came out. Had a really touching story that I want to show to people.

  • Finished this game on 2018-05-03. This was my first platinum trophy. I used a FAQ to find all the armor pieces.

  • Finished this game on 2017-10-19.

  • This game is a tile-matching game like Dungeon Raid. I finished it soon after my trip to San Jose on 2012-09-15.

  • I bought this game on 2012-03-13 and I finished it the same night. It's amazing how this game is put together. I feel like I can't describe how I felt playing it without spoiling it, even though there isn't really a plot. I'm interested to read the reviews now that I've played it.

  • I finished the iOS version of this game on 2012-02-22. I had the DS version on my wishlist for a while, and I'm glad that I tried it out on my iPhone. It ended up hooking me - I bought the game after finishing the first two chapters. The puzzles weren't too difficult, but the story was intriguing - I think that's what made me finish this game.

  • This is my new "wasting time" game. I recently got an iPhone 4S, so I'm not playing this on my iPad anymore. I don't know why this game clicked with me and Farmville didn't. I think it's because I like the personalization - I can rename the restaurants and other shops. I've been having fun trying to come up with clever names. I think it's also because there are other things to "do" while playing: periodically you need to deliver visitors to different floors, or sometimes you play a "Where's Waldo?" type of game. I have a few friends that are playing. It's neat to be able to look at their towers in Game Center.

I "finished" this game on 2012-02-18 - I got all the achievements, built all the floors, finished all the missions, and filled the tower with happy residents.

  • I finished this game on 2012-01-09. I was surprised that the ending was really touching - it was rather unexpected. I have finished 125 of the 153 puzzles in the game. I don't know if I'll go for 100% or not. I want to get back to Ocarina of Time.

  • I bought this game in March of 2011, but after playing it for a ahile, it's been sitting unfinished on my iPad for quite some time. Recently, I took the time to go ahead and finish the game. I finished this game on 11/12/2011.

I loved the experience of this game. It's very much an independent game, but the style and the music in the game is quite well done. The graphics are stylized as an homage to the 8-bit era, which may turn off some people. However, the touch controls for this iPad game are revolutionary. It just feels like it's been perfectly designed for the device. This is how iOS games should be designed.

The game isn't hard, but it's well worth the time and the $5 spent to play the game. I look forward to playing more games from this developer.

  • Bought this game on sale on the iPad on 2011-10-29 for $3. I love puzzles so I started playing this game. The puzzles were sort of easy (a lot of them I solved in 30 seconds or less) but I like the art style and the story. I finished it on 2011-11-08. Korka kinda reminds me of my girlfriend. :) I had fun playing this game, and I'm glad I finished it.

  • Bought this game a long time ago, when it was on sale on PSN. Since we're starting to get into the Halloween spirit, I started playing it last night and finished it in one sitting. It wasn't that it's too short - it felt just about the right length. It's just that the story was interesting, and the I-want-to-get-just-one-more-costume feeling was enough to make me want to stay up to finish the game. I finished the game on 2011-10-13. I got all the battle stamps, but I might be missing a secret costume. I don't have all the trophies yet. I don't know if I'll go back, but I might get the DLC in the winter.

  • Bought this on 2011-05-19 for $44. I knew that I wanted to play this game, but I was waiting to find it for a little cheaper. I also held off because I wanted the PlayStation 3 game (with a Steam copy for free) but PSN was still down for maintenance after the hacking. I finished the single-player missions on 2011-06-24. I'm waiting for one of my friends to get it so that we can play the co-op campaign.

I love what they did with the characters, and I think the storyline is what kept me going back to the game.

  • Bought this for the iPad on 2010-07-20 for $10. Finished it while waiting at a judo tournament on 2010-10-02. I had a lot of fun playing this game, and I think it lends itself to the touchscreen interface on the iPad. I haven't started on the achievements or tried to go back through the game again, though.

  • Bought this for the iPad on 2010-09-04. Finished it a few days later. I really liked the format and the humor. Some of the puzzles were easy, though. I think this is a better game for Aeris (10-year-old) than the Professor Layton series.

  • Finished this game on 2010-02-02. I felt pretty bad about incinerating the companion cube, and felt worse when GlaDOS teased me about it. I really liked the game, though. I was surprised that you could finish the game and not get any achievements. I got 5 points on accident.

  • I had a lot of fun playing this game. I finished it in about three days, but I haven't gotten 100% of the puzzles yet. Finished on 2009-09-10. Three puzzles short of 100%: the trash heap sliding game, the knight's tour, and the final peg jumping game.

  • I finally completed the game. I used a guide to find some of the hidden puzzles (because visit each screen and play "hunt the pixel") but I solved all of the puzzles without cheating. I even unlocked the secret by entering the code from Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box. Finished 100% 2009-09-18

  • I finished this game some time ago. Lent this to Ryan and he beat it, too. Aeris is still playing it. Finished 2009-06-02 (according to save game date).
