As stated above you can do the multiplayer stuff to get souls. There is another problem with this system though. There are rare drops that you need to get off some enemies, and there's no other way to get them. Killed them all? Well too bad buddy.

Personally I'm waiting for the Dreamcast release because of the superior controllers with an LED memory cart, but I'll be getting it for 360 in the meantime whenever stores start selling it in Europe.

I sure hope that's sarcasm. It is right? Cause that Dreamcast controller is pretty bad, then again, i mostly played MvC2 on it and that D-pad on it hurt. That said, that memory cart thingy whatever it was called was kinda cool.

On topic, I don't think it takes that much to impress Siegmeyer, but those scores speak for themselves. Now for me to wait cause of the crappy different release dates. Grr...

I'm not sure if we can really compare these, they look like they're totally different areas. The layout of some of them is different, and the architecture is totally different.

Urgh, that collection is terrible. So sad too, it's so promising all the way up to mgs4, but then you see peacewalker on there and everything before it means nothing.

On a more serious note, that's probably a good collection to get considering ground zeroes is coming out really soon. One could also just play through the game chronologically if they wanted, mgs3 straight into ground zeroes, then wait for phantom pain, mgs1, mgs2, mgs4.

Huh, the fleet is still active. I just started playing again. Shiro@raishirou i think is the handle. Man, i wish i knew how the Romulans worked, i would've just made one of them instead.

@golguin: Oh? Like what attacks? I can get by that some attacks would be really HARD, but impossible? Remember, my argument is not that it's the best thing and that i-frames are useless - rather I'm just trying to argue that less/no i-frames still makes the old builds viable (Although, a little different for most users).

While I can't think of any specific attacks (and I haven't really tested it), I'm pretty sure there are a good amount of attacks Dark Souls that has too much of a reach to be able to physically dodge away from. If there wasn't there wouldn't actually be any timing to dodging in the game, since by the time your invincibility frames were over you would be out of range. I know for certain that I've been clipped at the end of a dodge plenty of times even though I dodged away from the attack.

You could still play as a "dodger", but unless you played super careful you would probably keep ending up in situations where you were just screwed because of positioning.

I'm going to add to this by saying that while theoretically you can dodge to avoid anything, there are just areas in the game that are designed in a way that dodging isn't going to work. Mostly cramped areas or places like Sen's where dodging is more likely to kill you. In these situations though, you kinda want to just not be in range in the first place, so it's not that you NEED i-frames to not take damage, they just let you be more aggressive.

It's kinda like a test is how i understand it. They want a strong person to light the flame, as they would then be better fuel and the flame would last longer. Also, they need someone strong enough to defeat Gwyn, since he's gone mad and will attack anybody who enters the kiln. Gwyn at this point is basically equivalent to a hollow. He's just a mindless husk.

Why does he have a halo? Brad's clearly evil.

That is exactly how i picture his legs are though, that's great. That expression too, yep, perfect.

Patrick got in touch with VaatiVidya on twitter. I don't know whether that is for an article he is planning on writing or for this. Either way I'm looking forward to what ever it is.

Edit: I should clarify for anyone who doesn't know. Vaati is a guy on youtube who talks alot about the lore of the Souls series.

That actually has me interested in this feature. Definitely much more so than the alternatives.

Mmm, yeah, that actually sounds really interesting if they can get him. EpicNameBro would be another one that'd be nice to have, but there might be a few issues, being that he actually knows the game, probably, better than anyone else right now.

ENB is always a get, but he's in Japan and scheduling a skype chat would probably be a lot harder than getting Vaat. Not that he's less of a get; I think Vaati has better "camera" presence than ENB does. Bro tends to ramble quite a bit while Vaati is succinct and to the point.

The main thing with ENB is that he's under an embargo since he already beat Dark Souls 2 and he's involved in writing the guide for it. Vaati is fine so I'm curious to see what kind of write up Patrick will have.

Yeah, that was what i was talking about. Vaati and ENB should have similar timezones, since i believe Vaati is from Sydney, the difference between there and Japan is 2-3 hours, depending on daylight savings. But yeah, since he did the guide thing i dont' think he's in a position to really talk, and getting him when he can't say anything but knows everything is just really awkward.
