Breathtaking visuals and crazy combat to match with a healthy mix of pure Japanese WTFery. Even on my SD tv, I was absolutely gobsmacked at how lush and detailed this game was. Bonus points for video game references and homages.

This is a wonderful continuation of the Mass Effect story. Bioware has redone the combat mechanics and increased the graphical polish to a high sheen. It also has a really good story in an enormous universe full of interesting NPCs and wonderful dialogue.

Killing zombies in a Servbot helmet wearing a lime green banana hammock alone gets this game on my list. Good co-op and a nice story propel it upwards on it. Also, Japanese nuttery. :)

Wonderful indie game that tugs at my masocore heart-strings.

My favorite military FPS this year, its focus on squad based tactics with different classes make it a constant in my 360's DVD drive.

If there was online co-op, this game would be much higher on my list. As is, it's a wonderful retro-romp brawler with fantastic chiptune music to boot.

It's lost some of it's charm, but it was an immense amount of fun for the few months following its release.
