Yep. Those Tested segments were almost always gold and the comic vine read alongs were pretty good too.

It was far front perfect but significantly better than the theatrical cut. I actually enjoyed it more than most MCU movies but that’s mainly because I can’t stand the ‘multiple zingers per minute’ approach of most Marvel movies.

While Snyder definitely has an eye for cinematography, his throwback shots of things like The Last Supper in Watchmen or the Jesus iconography of Superman in BvS are cheesy as hell. It continues here with a flashback sequence, narrated by WW about the various groups of earth coming together to defeat the big. It’s such a fucking cringey attempt at the Fellowship of the Ring’s opening scene.

Another con is definitely the dream sequence/premonition. It felt unnecessary and more of an excuse to shoehorn in Leto’s Joker.

Also, Snyder putting objectivism into his films does get old as that whole philosophy is bunk anyway and his insistence on including elements of it is really obvious.

As Rep Ilhan Omar said when asked how she felt when trump made the Minnesota vote a referendum on her, "He fucked around and found out." I'm so relieved that trump lost.

@north6: funny that you mention cancelling. Rogan and his idw friends literally do that to Sam Seder at The Majority Report. They literally duck debating him and cry around when he criticizes their bs takes.

“Cancelling” is not a new thing. It’s been around for centuries but until recently it was solely relegated to marginalized people. It’s just that social media has made it possible for the powerful to be held to a certain degree of accountability.

To clarify, Rogan being criticized is not cancelling. And even if he got cancelled, as in his show being shutdown, he’s rich. He’ll be fine. Maybe focus on regular and marginalized people who’ve actually been cancelled.

I’m a bit bummed, especially after how well the two remakes controlled and how great the characters looked in third person. I’m more disappointed that they went back to Ethan as the protagonist. Like, his arc felt pretty tied up and there’s plenty of previous resident evil characters to bring back.

@kemuri07: literally no one here is stating that if Biden gets elected then everything will be fine. Far from it but his administration would be significantly better than what we’ve had under trump or what we would have if he got another 4 years.

@xdeser2: not sure if your post is directed at mine but I didn’t write nor do I think that voting for the lesser evil will be a solution, just that it’ll staunch the geyser of blood gushing out from a trump presidency.

With a Biden presidency, as unappealing as it would be, the best outcome is that he can be shifted a bit to be less horrible, which is still better than another 4 years of trump.

Call it utilitarianism, call it voting for the lesser of two evils, but while horrible in his own right, Biden would be significantly better than a second trump term. That doesn’t mean people should stop protesting or go back to ignoring politics if he beats trump. Biden, like a lot of centrists, may lean republican but it will be far easier to push him left than trump.

That being said, I don’t think it matters who someone votes for in a state that’s predetermined like CA, NY, etc but in a swing state those who see their vote primarily as an ideological expression need to check themselves, Indian up, and vote for Biden as he would do less harm to the populace than trump.
