I bought it today, I just played hero mode online and the first 2 story missions.
I like it a lot. hero mode is a blast.

What about Ryan stabbing someone like uh uh uh uh uh, or Jeff imprisoning someone in a pizza ball and throwing them into the sun?

I love the whole night time is actually dark thing.  It seems like this kind of feature is always focus-tested out of games where it could add interesting wrinkles to the standard gameplay.  Night vision goggles were kind of lame in Crysis.  Doubly so for that night vision scope in Fallout: New Vegas.
