Exceptional gameplay, amazing graphics, impeccable voicework, surprisingly solid multiplayer...Uncharted 2 had it all. Simply the best all-around gaming experience you could get this year.

The Dark Knight finally got his digital dues. A marvelous breakout accomplishment for a relatively unknown developer. Arkham Asylum gave all us Bat-Fans the game we'd wanted for years.

A completely batshit insane, summer blockbuster-esque single player storyline was enough to get MW2 on this list.

Solid Halo gameplay plus a voice cast which includes one BSG and three Firefly cast members = WIN.

A true reverence for the source material that's been sorely lacking from the Guitar Hero band specific games, this was a treat for any Beatles fan. Plus, probably the best intro movie of the year.

I've never been a big fan of the "Metroid-Vania" style of game in the past, but Shadow Complex changed my mind. Plus, more awesome voicework from Nolan North.

The best example of the "games can be art" argument to come out this year. Simple, fun, beautiful and the best implementation of the SIXAXIS I've seen yet.
