Great British Bake Off is still good despite the host changes. I was apprehensive despite being a Noel Fielding fan but it's still pretty good and comparable to the BBC seasons. There is a trend to 'mix' it up with "first time in GBBO history!" events but it's not that terrible.
Paul has definitely lightened up, especially in the last season where he was handing out handshakes left and right.
How much money / premium subscriptions do I need to get for the Beast crew to play a board game on stream... The mere thought of Dan trying to play Scythe makes me giddy. GIDDY.
The digital version of Scythe is a nice way to play the game if you can't muster a regular group of people to play with, despite having a pretty clunky UI. Despite the AI being pretty dim, it's been a good way to practice my opening game strategy. I wish they had more board style options as because, well, why not? Maybe faux-terrain for the tiles or something akin to that.
I'm definitely curious what happens when they roll in the first 2 expansions. Seeing that the 3rd is a legacy-light I doubt that'll be coming around.
My favourite memory of pre-encryption satellite dish fun was tuning into the signal before the show was airing and see the signal test bars. When was almost time for the program to start you'd see the count down begin for the affiliates to get their shit together. Same thing would happen for commercials though usually it was just a black screen.
Aaah fond memories of watching Thundercats, Silverhawks and other cartoons I shouldn't have been able to watch in rural British Columbia.
