I have a family member affected by severe autism. It does not enable him speak, let alone "cheat." It does, however, force him to freak out every time the Wii menu theme comes on.
(Fast-forward to 0:24) However, other cases have shown signs of using autism for favorable results. It's not a deficiency in any sense.

Why do I need to justify that I don't like Anime? Shouldn't me stating that I don't like Anime be enough? This is my problem with Anime fans. You try to push it on us like a fucking religion, "Why don't you like it? What has it ever done to you? Have you even tried it?" All of that crap annoys the fuck out of me.
To me, when I think Anime I think of two types of people, both pictured below.
Group 1Group 2 I fit into neither of these groups and never, ever want to. When I see Anime I want to cringe, it's just a gut reaction, I've never been able to explain it, I just have a massive hatred for it.I don't care if you like it and I won't pick up on you liking it unless you pick me up on not liking it. Which is what you did and now look where we are. As my annoying meme dog thing said, everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion, I couldn't give two flying fucks if you sit at home and watch little moody Japanese boygirls save the world but it's not something I will ever do. There's definitely a third group, to which I belong. Anime, like all other artistic mediums, should be considered on a case by case basis. In other words, if I'm intrigued by the characters, plot, art, action, music or pure entertainment value, I shouldn't let anything get in the way of my enjoyment. Rampant pedophilia bugs me, but today's American cartoons are worse for wear in my opinion. Some of my favorite animated series/films of all time are what you would deem "cringe worthy":

I too have a general distaste for the anime community, but not as a whole, and it's possible they holds such animosity towards you because you appear to be pigeon-holing an entire medium by its weakest (albeit most prominent) stereotypes.

Fads don't last upwards of 30 years. But it is worth debating whether interest in Anime in America is fading. Beyond Cowboy Bebop and Fullmetal Alchemist, few series have penetrated the international barrier for very long.

There's no full-time staff, so naturally no one represents them on Happy Hour. Anime Vice is a social experiment more than anything, that tests whether a dedicated community can uphold nearly all journalistic duties on a site.
