I agree with imhungry and jagerxbomb. I'm sure Danny, Drew and waypoint's Rob Zacny will do something with it as they've done races recently that they've posted to their youtube channel.

I could see them something with it over there, but I doubt there's enough interest about it in the GB staff/community for the staff to dedicate time to it, especially since on Friday's Hotspot it seemed like Alex's games he can't talk about yet (from Thursday's Beastcast) might have something to do with Sunday's stream.

As mentioned Muir works and presumably lives outside of the SF bay area and Snider was on Thursday's RPG stream. As for Whitta he occasionally appears on Tested.com's This is Only a Test, but very rarely (one a year or so), he's a co-host on Kinda Funny as it's a paid gig, Andrea Rene does/did it as well, Danny O'Dwyer hosted as well before moving to Maryland.

If you haven't kept up with Gary he's written a book and comic book series, among other activities, as well as being one of the writers for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Looking at the image with a bunch of bombys (bombies?) I found the angle leading to only a bit of it's tongue being visible for the one on the top right interesting. Then I looked some more and the program you're using does some odd stuff with the reflections, the ones along the bottom have some extra dots inside the circular light source reflection, the ones on the right don't seem to have the extra dots, and the one in the top middle seems to have a reflection that's not completely circular and almost like it's a different angle above and below the mouth or two different circular and overlapping light source reflections. I'm probably looking at it too much, but that seems odd.

@humanity: I'm not saying that any of those games would be in contention for GOTY directly, though some might be in the running for day 1-4 stuff. Also they'd all probably get their own QL any other time of year, except Subnautica unless it's significantly different than PC, though I'm guessing PUBG might get a QL just cuz it's a pretty big release almost exactly a year after the PC 1.0 and Xb1 release.

My main point was mainly that Smash, a major Nintendo release, and JC4, a major Square Enix release, aren't steam indie releases being covered for the sake of producing enough videos in a given week. Don't get me wrong, out of all the games mentioned the only ones I'll play in the next few months are Parkitect, as I bought it a year or so ago, and Katamari Damacy Reroll, as I love the original and getting it on Switch will basically allow my kids to experience it like it's new.

Regarding only "Steam indie grabs", I guess that's what Smash, Just Cause 4, Katamari Damacy Reroll, PUBG (PS4), Subnautica (on consoles), Parkitect, Gwent, Fighting EX Layer (Win) and others are, just steam indies. I understand the logic however, the post black Friday time has historically been devoid of good games being released this generation of consoles has changed that, e.g. Just Cause 3 launched Dec 1 2015.

Personally I understand the reasoning. It allows them to focus on the podcasts while that's happening and allows them to fill the desk for videos, allowing those not involved in a particular video some time away. Also personally I'm way behind on podcasts due to a recent Disney World trip which was followed by being sick/my wife being off, so I had basically two weeks with minimal podcasts/GB videos, though around the time all the GB GOTY stuff comes out I'll start to get backed up by having my kids home all day, then in-laws visiting and finally moving, so I'll catch up on all of it mid/late January, but that's how things go sometimes.

It's not a super deep world, but it can be really fun. The flashback/documentary style presentation is one of the best I can remember. I played a decent amount when I bought the gold/definitive/platinum/deluxe bundle during last Thanksgiving's PSN sale, picked it back up recently and I'm now 1-2 missions from the end cleaning up the DLC and doing some other fun things. I would recommend if you can manage to switch for a few days to another game that you enjoy it helps this game not feel, as Alex would probably say, like a slog.

The three DLC packs include the same style, which expands the mechanics a bit and if you play with those during your regular campaign can break the repetitiveness of the main story as one adds Sinclair Parish, the other adds an island you travel to (it's a linear mission) and the third DLC adds a rather crappy investigation, though the story in each DLC is pretty good and involves characters from the main story as well as new characters and new weapons/support.

Being French-American I obviously want France to get a second star. As for who I'm rooting for outside of France, that would be the home countries of my best friends, South Korea, Peru and Croatia. I think I speak for everyone who's not facing Iceland in that I want to see Iceland advance out of the group stage.

Sadly for my Peruvian friend they were eliminated by France (one a separate note by brother won his bet with his Peruvian friend and shaved his friend's head after the game), my Korean friend is going to have to hope they play out of their minds considering their group and my Croatian friend and I are hoping we both win our groups and then keep winning until we face in the finals (we still talk about the open hand to the chin by Blanc that led to the Croatian player covering his eye to draw a red card on Le President).

I am absolutely enjoying the world cup, especially as my 7 year twins are now old enough to have an idea what soccer is and what countries are. Sadly I am like many players I'm superstitious that what I do at home affects the results, it's dumb I know, but I wore my Germany and Brasil jerseys a few days ago and things didn't go well for them, so I'm not wearing the jerseys of teams I want to win anymore, then again today I didn't wear my Croatia jersey and they won, but I also didn't wear my Argentina jersey, so I guess it balanced things out.

@jennifyre: I believe most of the crew will be arriving in LA on Friday as the first press conference they're covering is Saturday.
