Consoles and platforms I have owned

List items

  • My first console, and I thought it was awesome. I still have very fond memories of Pitfall! I was playing Yar's Revenge when I heard about the Challenger explosion.

  • Games I remember: Burgertime, Microsurgeon, Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Treasure of Tarmin. I also had the voice add-on, but I can't remember what games I used it with.

  • I loved the SSI Gold Box AD&D games on the C64 as well as Infocom's peerless interactive fiction, and the Lucasarts adventures Maniac Mansion and Zak McCracken and the Alien Mindbenders. I also remember Wasteland, the game to which Fallout was the spiritual successor. I didn't get very far into that game.

  • This one was actually my uncle's, I think, but I probably played it more. Loved Super Mario Bros. and the Legend of Zelda.

  • Also my uncle's, perhaps? Loved Super Mario World and the Legend of Zelda: A Link To the Past, as well as Final Fantasy II and III (or IV and VI, as I would later learn) and Chrono Trigger.

  • Almost certain this one was my uncle's (or maybe my aunt's). I hardly played this console at all because the SNES was so much better. The only notable game I can remember for the Genesis is Haunting Starring Polterguy.

  • I never finished any of the three Final Fantasy games on the PS. Suikoden was pretty awesome, though. I also played Doom with a friend using the PlayStation's system link cable.

  • Found a used Dreamcast at EBGames for super-cheap. The only games I had were Soul Caliber and Crazy Taxi (which was awesome). The Dreamcast was ahead of its time, coming bundles with a web browser.

  • Too many excellent games to mention. I still play games on the PS2 frequently. Final Fantasy X was the first Final Fantasy I finished since III (VI) on the SNES. It's also the only Final Fantasy I've finished since then. The Grand Theft Auto games on PS2 were superfun, even though I never finished any of them.

  • Modded and running XBMC. I didn't have an Xbox Live account on the original Xbox, and I didn't really play many games on it, either.

  • Onyx DS Lite. The Ace Attorney series, Elite Beat Agents (and the Japanese game that spawned it, Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan, and its sequel), Hotel Dusk, and so many more terrific games.

  • As with the PS2, there are just too many excellent games on this system. Mass Effect 1 and 2, Assassin's Creed 1 and 2, and the Crystal Dynamics Tomb Raiders (especially Legend) stand out, as well as GTA IV (the only GTA I've ever finished) and Saint's Row 1 and 2. Overall, an excellent HD system I would recommend to anyone.

  • 30gig iPod touch. Tilt to Win by itself makes it impossible for me to ignore this gaming platform.

  • Heavy Rain, Uncharted 1 and 2 (liked the first one better than the sequel, which I haven't finished), Final Fantasy XIII (which I also haven't finished). Of the three boxes I've used to stream Netflix, the PS3 is the best, in spite of the need to have the Netflix disc in the drive. Also, Blu-ray is gorgeous.
