I don't usually post here, but I feel today I need to. So here's a post I made in a memorial thread on my regular forum site:
Truly sad news. Giant Bomb is pretty much the only site I go to for games coverage, and these guys put so much of their personality into what they do that you cant help but feel as if you know them a bit if you visit regularly. In fact that's the whole point of the website. The fact is like some others on this forum I'm sure I've listened to the man talk about anything and everything for upwards of 4 hours a week for years, that's more than I hear from some of my friends and if I'm honest, news of Ryan's death has affected me. I'm not bawling in the corner or anything, but it's made me take a good look at myself and my life choices health wise to see how profoundly his early death has effected all the people in his life through my twitter feed. He was part of a new breed of internet celebrity that if your a fan is much more ingrained into your daily lives than in other media. And he will be very missed.
Ha, I've still got a sealed copy of Oni for Ps2 that I bought at a jumble sale. Heard it was crap, so I never bothered playing it! If we're talking about future Rockstar releases though, I echo any and all future calls for a Bully 2. Wasn't the Max Payne 3 crew responsible for the first Bully? If so, you never know....
Awesome, time to dust off the Kinect. It should be worth it for the extra streamlining to the interface, dont think I'll be shouting Fos Rah do or whatever at my T.V. though...
