Sincerely Sorry, on the 10th anniversary, which rather timely, falls on a period of global hellishness.

Looking back, this site was amazing when it all started, the atmosphere and the features were very impressive. They felt fun, wacky and unrestricted, born of pent up frustration, and years of thought. It seemed to spark the same spirit in the userbase, and that's what made it feel special, to me personally.

I like streamlined UI's, but that's all you see nowadays, and its come to feel distinctly bland, and void of personality, in comparison.

And the, there is the linking of Facebook profiles. So, so dubious. I much prefered it when all these sites were havens, self contained and immune from that kind of thing, and where it can lead.

Now is a good time for nostalgia, to recall the silly shit that went down, and just laugh, at the sheer nonsense of it all. Even if indeed it was unforgivable. Many were stupid, not just myself.

I would like to leave you all with one, pivotal thought to dwell on however, before I am banned from yet another self resurrection/haunting.

The entire world, needs you to feel like trees in a vast forest. There will always be axe men in this world. Focus on the fact we all draw sustenance from the same ground. Grow stronger, and not crooked.

"The forest is a peculiar organism of unlimited kindness and benevolence that makes no demands for its sustenance and extends generously the products of its life activity; it affords protection to all beings, offering shade even to the axe-man who destroys it."

Gautama Buddha

A Japanese promo video that was sent out to retailers in Japan has been newly unearthed. It's an hour long in length.

A very young Sakurai, Kirby's creator, can be seen sitting at the end of a row of people at the end.

The video also features other launch classics such as FZero and Actraiser.

Good to know, I arrive in Shanghai on Tuesday and was hoping to pick up a few things, legally. I hear SNK and NeoGeo is very popular there, apparently the company is now owned by a large Chinese corporation.

You will need a WiiU Gamepad to boot, this goes for all software.

It's not the lack of a Wifi connection.

Nintendo themselves sell refurbished ones at low cost. I would also invest in a secondhand copy of Mario Maker, it will soften the blow. It's also good system for playing retro classics on Virtual console. Get your monies worth there.

He looks really ugly, I remember him well from Stargate where he played some freaky Egyptian god. Mr Robot is gorgeous though, he once had the best eyebrows in Hollywood.

@jasoncooke:

The brand was commonly used by designers who needed the very best workstations. I know some of their workstations cost upward of $30,000, some considerably more in the late 90's. Companies like ILM who worked on special effects for the film industry used them in the early 90's, as did Lucas Arts for making games software. The company logo still holds resonance in the industry to this very day. I know this monitor cost $6,000 back in 1998, which wasn't to bad for something that was the very best available, for about two years, until DVI won the battle of the connectors. Everyone that has seen it I my room has gushed over it, technophiles love their products.

The other week I picked up a boxed never used model for my games room. Growing up in the 90's this brand was extremely desirable, as some if you may know, it was well out of the reach of most everyday consumers. So when I had the chance to own one, I jumped right in without giving it much thought. Anyway, it's a beautiful thing, very 90's and extremely well built, I'd like to get it up and running, but I am not able to find that multilink adaptor which allows it to take DVI. Looking online I found all the channels to acquire one are now dead. I'm wondering if anyone knows where I could get what I need. I'm quite happy for it to sit in the room looking great if I cant. Does anyone else have any Silicon Graphics products and also shares an appreciation?.

Thanks for any help.
