@nycnewyork:

Well it certainly does, its not even out yet. The only known customers are car manufacturers who intend to use two paired together in new guidance systems. Until these chips are in mid range cars, as opposed to luxury cars, Nintendo won't be using them.

I wouldn't underestimate this chip once it goes custom, the new Nintendo employees from nVidia will help get the best out of it.

X2 would hike up the cost too significantly, pricing out the kind of people that made Wii impulse buys. It needs to be kept cheap for this thing to work.

Her sources claimed months ago that Nintendo had partnered with nVidia. @Mike

It will be interesting to see what Nintendo could do with the chip. Currently the shield TV games lack the performance of console versions. For whatever reason the ample ram the shield tv uses isn't utilized as you'd expect.

Not sad if true, wouldn't want to wait longer for X2, and besides, I expect this will be a custom chip, free from running a android os. I have Shield TV and can imagine what could be done with it.

There may be feature reveals that are gimmicky, but the basic concept is purely attractive and user-friendly. Neo Geo X was a precursor to this, but what this will offer is destined to be better.

So, according to Bill Trinnen, you can create a hoverboard by placing two metal planks on top of each other then hitting them with the Magnisis rune. I am naturally wondering what could be done on a metal floor and a metal shield, and wonder how you could propel yourself forward.

This is exactly what Nintendo need to do, get out the big guns. Super Mario, Zelda, Pokémon, will seal a successful launch. So will Beyond Good and Evil 2, if it's exclusive.

Interested to see what Activision and EA have, and whether the machine will get a new Bravely Default game within the first year.

If it has active cooling as dev kits are rumoured to use, and it's final design will feature X2, that suggests the X2 will be overclocked.

As long as it's on par with XB1 and PS4 using Pascal, I for one will be happy.
