According to Jose Otero's Twitter, Jeff is guesting on today's show in place of Peer Schnieder who's on vacation.

Jeff could turn Medusa to stone with this stare...

Expect Jeff to give more of his thoughts on NX and Zelda and all things Nin Ten Do.

@isomeri:

It would have to be. When I say "effective VR", I mean in the physical sense. Current platforms struggle already, this is why we are seeing revisions.

Rumours have suggested the delay to NX's release was in part because of VR inclusion.

Dutch site via Taiwanese site claiming sources on the component supply chain.

I fully expect Nintendo to release a supplemental device for NX. Nintendo are no stranger to this concept.

I expect Nintendo VR will be great, and in the mold of Gear VR. The the artstyle of their games will be able to render easily at the refresh speed required for effective VR experiences. The lack of high textures in Nintendo games will actually work to its favour.

Have no doubt the NX screen is wearable. I totally expect the NX screen can be placed into a relatively cheap headset with motion sensors, (or a wrist holster for Pokemon Go and Animal Crossing). And that the two sides on the controller attachments snap together to create a new Nintendo control pad.

It would need Nvidia Tegra X2 to run the bulk of current 3P games, and VR effectively. X1 v PS4 comparisons show a gulf in quality. I think X1 is merely a placeholder, and that the final design will feature X2. I don't expect the dock to have any processing ability, so the supplemental device shown in a previous patent, seems likely down the line. I don't envisage Nintendo releasing this device until Q4 2018 with the release of a new AAA title. I see this device featuring sizeable storage, significant processing power which works in tandem with the X2, and the very latest network features required for Cloud processing. I see the on-board X2 being able to compress software data for the NX to carry.

Fellow Nintendo collector "Metal Jesus" has recently acquired what appears to an extremely rare retail-ready version of the Nintendo 64DD.

The system add-on hardware bombed in Japan, and as a result this North American version was never released, sadly. I say sadly because the proposed games due to be worked on had some notable potential in the Western market.

Dubious f'er, don't agree with the attempt though. With suspicions of IS dealings and now this, is it any wonder why Europes leaders are against Turkey joining the EU. Imagine if there was a civil war, their people would flood the rest of Europe in a shot.

Great list. Could not see Nintendo putting AllStars on, they would most likely use individual games, besides some of those games are featured on the NES Classic list.

Haven't played 19, 24, 25, 27. Don't think Evermore was released in Europe.

Never thought I'd see something so precious get this treatment, but here it is, for all those tech savvy people interested in the inner workings of this failed collaboration.

There's actually a game that was released for this hardware only last week. "Super Boss Gaiden" is a surreal comedic platformer which covers the history (very loosely) of this failed console.

There's a thread within this forum with download links. If you like Super Nintendo platformers you'll no doubt find it charming to play.

Share's have gone up considerably since this post. Assumingly on the back on the NES Classic.
