Hideo Kojima or Shigeru Miyamoto?

Which one of these legendary game designers would you like to have to direct your favorite movie? I personally take Kojima cuz he has the grandest vision in all game designs and his scope is unmatched. From the camera angles to the smallest grain of dirt.

For a movie? These guys do games, not movies. I wouldn't want either of them to direct a movie.

Kojima's all about the cut-scenes so it would make more sense for him to direct a film but they should both stick to making games.

Kojima over Miyamoto for everything ever unless it's directly Mario 64 related.

For games, I'll go with Shigeru Miyamoto.

However, Hideo Kojima has a love for movies.  He considers him 70% movie instead of water.

Also to be noted, he looks like an alien.

To make a action movie, definitely Kojima, if it was Anime, it would definitely be Miyamoto.

Interesting....Kojima would make the movie somewhat epic because of his cut scenes in his games. Miyamoto on the other hand would probably re invent the movie experience, like having to waggle your popcorn in order to get to the next scene or something like that.

@Linkyshinks: I'm with you on this as well. For most genres, I'd trust Kojima more since he's had actual education and training in film. But if it was for anime, I'd probably go for Miyamoto, or at least if we were talking about something Miyazaki-esque. Maybe other types of anime Kojima would be fine doing, but I have my doubts the man could be whimsical in concept and execution as Miyamoto has shown in the past.

Kojima would be far better at doing a movie. His games are basically movies with a little bit of gameplay mixed in, so it would be like second nature to him.

Miyamoto has a intimate knowledge of animation and cartooning (early career) that he could easily apply to the production of a Anime film.  I would love to see it happen one day, and for it to be distributed on a Nintendo console ( On Demand Anime starting to happen now on Wii, in Japan).  He's actually known to be an admirer of Miyazaki's work, they also seem to be influenced by similar things * nature*. It's a little known fact that Miyamoto met Miyazaki san at a convention in Nagoya many years ago...

I agree, Kojima could also do some great work in the animation, although it would likely be more suited to less fluffy forms of Anime. That would be great to see also, but I think it's less likely to happen than Miyamoto making an anime one day.

Although Miyamoto is by far my preferred game designer, Kojima's work has a far more cinematic feel and so he seems the obvious choice for directing a movie.

Miyamoto. Kojima would just direct something I've already seen before, while I believe that if Miyamoto directed something, it would be one fucking trippy movie.

If I have to choose, I would choose Hideo Kojima.
