Lately I have just been playing Fallout 3 and still going back to Far Cry 2 even though I beat it last sunday. So far though I think Fallout 3 is just as good as oblivion so thats really good [not gonna post alot about Fallout 3 because mostly everyone has it so there is nothing really new I can say about it]. I got a Call of Duty 5 beta key a couple of weeks agom so I am gonna post about that soon and a Far Cry 2 review also, I just don't know when with all these games coming out.
I really REALLY Far Cry 2 so far but I am pretty busy now so these impressions are gonna be short and I will post a longer blog later. So far though Far Cry 2 is the only game in a long time I have been excited to play each day it has to be the most immersive game I have played and every time I play it I get hooked. The only major problem I have so far is the multiplayer which is average but it just feels kinda off just something dosen't seem right about it and the map editor is awesome I have 1 published map so far check it out download it whatever my gt is sleeprockss. So I will post a longer blog about it later but these are my impressions over a two night period.
I am really pumped for Alan Wake now, I really liked the Max Payne games but mainly for the gameplay and not the plot so Alan Wake has been on my radar but not in a huge way because it seemed like it would focus more on the story than the gameplay and lastly who in the hell knew when it was coming out. This trailer has really got me pumped though, games like this [singleplayer story games that are crafted like a movie ex. bioshock,darkness] and the game looks really interesting and I can not wait to see more of it.

The original Bioshock has to be my favorite game ever made I just love the atmosphere combat and especially the story. So when I heard they were making a Bioshock 2 I thought why, the original was so well crafted I didn't think that 2k marin could match the first Bioshock and I still can't tell because this trailer is really vague but it looks like it will still be sut in the 50's so thats cool I still am looking forward to it though.

Well last night I got saints row 2 and I played till about 5 in the morning [love fall break] and I like it so far. It definently embraces craziness in a way gta 4 does not and the game looks like it could take a while to do everything. I really liked the first Saints Row I loved the environment which felt different than almost any other open world game and how clean and sharp the graphics looked. While Saints Row 2 they went for a grimier and dirtier look and it just dosen't look as good the character models are improved but the environment looks just dead and lifeless and taht's bad considering tehy tried to make the city more bustling and populated in this one. In th first Saints Row I did all of the extra activities and side missions and it looks like it will take me alot longer to do that almost quadruple the time. So far though the story is an improvement over the first though because the first had an ok story but it didn't really get in depth at all until the end in Saints Row 2 some of your old friends die and new friends also. The only issues other than the graphics I have had is glitches whether it is shooting someone and then they dissapear or my car dissapearing while I am driving it. The shooting also I don't think is better than GTA 4 because that is the only thing you can really compare to it other than the car controls but the shooting is really good but it just dosen't have the same power as a gun in GTA 4. The civilians in the game suprised me though I didn't think they would spend time making the civilinas act real or do real things but in Saints 2 civilians will take pictures with their phone or you will see a couple sitting together on a bench until you go back to shooting shit on them and other people. If you are a fan of open world games I would say defiently try this at some point it is the second best sandbox gta type of game series out now.
Gametrailers just posted some new gameplay videos of RE5 today and one of them shows off some of the new enemies and a new enviroment in the game.

The spiders look amazingly detailed and animated they kinda remind me of the small spider creatures from the movie Cloverfield. Also Cloverfield is an awesome movie and if anyone hasn't seen it yet I suggest you should it had to have been the most intense movie I have seen in theaters.
Here are some new Far Cry 2 videos from IGN, after seeing these videos though Far Cry 2 looks amazing and it has to be the game I am most looking forward to this Fall. I don't know if it will deliver story wise but I don't see a way it will not deliver gameplay wise. Also the guy demoing Far Cry 2 in these videos should have been demoing them all along. I'm looking forward to Fallout 3, Gears of War 2, Call of Duty World at War, and Left 4 Dead but I am the most excited about Far Cry 2 still hopefully the singleplayer is long [ I have heard that it could be from 30-50 hours but that is developer talk so they could be bullshitting us] and I was a really big fan of Far Cry Instincts back on xbox, I really liked the singleplayer and loved the multiplayer mainly because of the modes and map editor and I cannot wait to make maps in Far Cry 2. if you are planning on getting Far Cry 2 just wait until you see some of the maps people make I remember when alot of people played Far Cry Instincts Predator on 360 some maps ranged from a remake of the first scene in Jurassic Park to a race that went on foot and in vehicles that basically was a platformer I still kinda wish they still had Infection mode [basically zombies in halo except they had actual powers like increased speed, health, and melee] but it would not fit in really with Far Cry 2's setting.

Since I saw the first video for RE5 I thought it looked good but would just be more of the same and that still kinda seems the case but I did not think they would put much effort into the story. RE4 had an ok story about the same as a summer action flick but it looks like RE5 could have a really interesting story and a kick ass villian. The trailer is bad ass and it just got me alot more pumped for the final release. Im on fall break this week so when I get Saints Row 2 next week I will post impressions on here day one or two after I get it but Im guessing it will be alot like the first except for the fact you can shoot shit on people with a septic tank...Look Out GTA 4.....
Got bored today so I watched Gametrailers weekly talk show type of thing called bonus round here and I saw some Call Of Duty 5 multiplayer footage and there hasn't been any multiplayer footage released yet so I captured some screenshots of it. So if you want to see call of duty 5 footage really bad just watch the latest episode of that Bonus Round show or just look at the screenshots I am posting here. I am also gonna post some Far Cry 2 Multiplayer screenshots from the Bonus Round video too. Jeff Gherstman is also in the video too he is one of the 3 guests. Just went to IGN didn't know they ahd multiplayer videos up that sucks.
