American McGee's Grimm 1st Episode Review

Well I played the the first of a new episodic game series on Gametap which is called Grimm. The plot is you play as grimm [from brothers and grimm storys] and you turn nice child like stories into realistic and kind of depressing ones. The first one is called The Boy Who Went to Learn Fear and it takes about a half hour to beat but it also has leaderboards where it records your time and you can compare it to other people and try to beat their time later. The gameplay is kind of like  Katamari Damacy or something like that, the way it works is wherever you walk you turn the area around you into darkness or a bad area and the more you cover the levels in darkness you get a upgraded radius and can turn Bigger objects into the bad or dark areas. It has some platforming elements but it mainly focuses on the changing areas. There really is no difficulty to the game there are enemies who take away your dark territory and change it back into the light or regular areaand you take out those when you start to get more powerful by changing more of the enviroment into your territory. I liked it for what it was though because it is basically a episode of a season and it was funny in the ways you changed the environment. I hope though they change the gameplay in future installments because this formula could get boring. i would give it about a 3 out of 5 because it isn't really deep but it is better than most other free games online right now but I don't think I will  review future installments until there is about 5 out so I can see how they will advance and improve.  Also here is some gameplay and screenshots I took while I was playing the game
