Here is a list of some great games that meet at least one of the following: 1) The game received scores lower than I think it deserved and/or 2) The game was overlooked by the masses.

In my opinion Deathrow was one of the greatest games on the Xbox. The graphics were good but it was the awesome gameplay that kept me coming back to it. If you can find a copy snatch it up: it is backwards compatible with the Xbox 360.
Another overlooked gem. I personally like this game quite a bit more than Brutal Legend. Luckily, this game has been given a second life thanks to Xbox Originals on XBL.
I think this game is a ton of fun. The story and characters are pretty forgettable but running around Paris blowing stuff up is great. This game is soooo much better than Mercenaries 2.
I'm not saying this game is amazing but it is definitely a pretty fun game. One of the best licensed games I've ever played.

A great game from the last generation. Even though it is somewhat of a Zelda clone it is extremely well done and a ton of fun with a great story to boot!
I know this game sold extremely well but it reviewed rather poorly. I thought it was a good game that deserved scores around the 7-9 range but a bunch of sites gave it closer to the 4-6 range. Granted, the sequel outdid the original in every way.
This game was so much fun! Awesome mechanics and just a ton of fun to play. The multiplayer was really good too. I would love to see a sequel made.
