My first day with the Rock Band 3 Keyboard

In all seriousness though, it was quite enjoyable...watching a lot of notes be missed, and plenty of moments where the wrong key would be pressed.

Started out playing one song on regular expert and jumped right into Pro Easy Keys (and attempted a few on Expert Pro just to see how I would do.) Many 3 stars, a few 4s and 5s, and one 2 star (for shame!) I think my main problem right now is adjusting to using my right hand to hit keys instead of it being my usual strumming hand on the guitar. For some songs I'll use both hands until I get the hang of using just the one like it's apparently supposed to be used.

I think it was a great purchase. Plan to practice with it most of my winter break.

Rock Band Immortal

Feels Good, Man

Man it feels nice to finally have that out of the way. Probably the most impressive thing I've done on Rock Band, let alone rhythm games in general.

Probably the hardest song for me to 5 star on any instrument was Beast and the Harlot. Seriously, screw that song. I don't know the proper terminology for it myself, but I'm terrible at what I'll call "Stop, Go, Stop"-type songs, where you have to alt-strum and stop for a brief moment, then go at it again. Rinse and repeat. But now it's done and I never have to play that song again (or at least not for a while)

So to anyone that reads this, what do you think is your most impressive goal to date on Rock Band, and what sort of difficulties did you overcome to achieve said goal?

I May Have Turned My Roommate into a God-tier Troll

While eating, a guy in my roommate's Spanish class comes up to us to ask my roommate if he can borrow his quizzes from the class. After the guy leaves (and is far enough away) I tell my roommate he should make a copy of the quiz and white out all the answers and replace them with wrong answers.

The wheels in his head immediately began turning and he came up with plenty of ideas for this. An example: Writing in Spanish the guy turning in the make-up quiz is cheating. Apparently he's really behind in the class, he probably won't check the answers himself to see if they're correct.

I'm not sure if I should be happy or disturbed by this. For one, the guy IS cheating, should he be taught a lesson? But...the potential of my roommate becoming an actual troll isn't setting well in my head.

EDIT: Since nobody takes the time to read comments. Roommate decided to give the guy the exam with unaltered (not changed) answers.

My First "True" Blog

True as in it has nothing to do with finishing up a quest (but I guess it is working towards another quest)

Also, I'm not really much of a blogger so this isn't really going to be that great of a blog either, but oh well. I guess not having very many followers means I can make as crappy a blog as I'd like. Woo!

It feels nice getting things a day before they're supposed to be available. In my mail today I received this:

Slough Feg's newest album: The Animal Spirits.

I had heard a few songs over the past few weeks and I think it will be just as good as the rest of their releases. Guess it's about time to open it up and give it a listen.

Wow...actually that's about all I got for this one. Hopefully the next one will be better. I would actually like to start blogging more about things.
