I didn't say that, I didn't mean that, and I absolutely would not approve of that.But if a lesser known user did post a goodbye thread, I could easily see it derailed with comments like "I don't know who you are so I don't care" or "good riddance" or the like. Perhaps I'm not giving the community enough credit, but it seems like an accurate prediction based on what I've seen in this thread as well as others."
