I don't think that it's implied that C:47 takes place after the WoA trilogy. We learn who the voice is in C:47, 47's creator, Ort-Meyer. Plus, there are plenty of references to the first few games in WoA, particularly in Mendoza which names several characters from the early games by name.

I think the more likely implication is that Ort-Meyer had ties to Ether and Providence, and that the asylum that 47 escaped from is now under Providence control. That would make sense, since they had knowledge of both 47 and Grey.

I would recommend turning off mission stories and exploring. There's plenty of wild, unscripted stuff you can do. Mission Stories are just there for people who want to be led through the missions. They also tend to reveal things about the map that expert players can manipulate once they understand the levels better, ie how to change certain AI routines or get certain disguises.

@mightyduck: it's pretty complicated but they gradually layer on systems at a steady rate for the first 30 hours or so. They don't pile it on all at once the way 2 does.

Does anyone know if it's even possible to play Doom RPG these days without finding an old phone that has it installed?

The earlier Divinity games have Diablo-style combat. I hear 2 is real good.

Ever since I played Sonic Mania, where every square inch is crammed with cool secrets, I've been playing games a lot more carefully and going over them a lot more thoroughly.

I was renting the game and wanted to do more sidequests later, so I kept it at the moment. One day I'll buy it and get my fill and then delete.

I did delete in the first game, though.

For me, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky Second Chapter rekindled my love of jRPGs after I had fallen off of them for a while. I loved the genre in the PS1 era (mostly Square's games but I also loved Grandia, Lunar and Golden Sun) but eventually just lost patience with most of them.

I played and enjoyed the Ys series and the first Trails in the Sky but it was only last year when I played SC that I really felt those days come back. I put 80 hours into it in two weeks (was off for the Chinese New Year) and was enthralled the whole time with its writing, world, characters, music and strategic combat. I've since gotten into the Dragon Quest games and purchased and enjoyed Final Fantasy XV.

That's the big one, but Super Meat Boy and Jumper are what got me back into platformers and Burnout 3 got me into driving games after playing hours of OutRun as a kid.

It depends! If a game is well written (a lot of XSEED localized stuff and LucasArts adventure games come to mind) then I don't mind but that's definitely the exception rather than the rule.

I got it for $20. Took me about 20 hours to complete, and I was enthralled all the way through. The expansion is also awesome. I'd say go for it.
