my former favorite game of all time and the first game I vividly remember playing. Solidified the nature of 3rd person action games with z targeting and has the great sense of discovery that a zelda title needs.

My favorite Metal Gear Solid. It works incredibly well when fit into the entire fiction and can operate solely on its own as well.
-
The best game on the gamecube, or maybe pikmin
-
Its good.
-
The best of the mass effect series. Lost some RPG elements from mass effect 1, but gained a better story and shooter mechanics.

duuuuuh duh duh duh |duh duuh duuh duuh duh |duuh duuh duh duuh du|uuuuuuuuh

A bizarre, wonderful game. The grotesque ocarina of time.
Supersedes Oot as my favorite Zelda because of how daring and great it is. Does a lot with reused assets that actually greatly enhance the game if played after Oot.
-
A link between worlds is an incredibly good game. The new item buying system makes progression feel unique from the other core zeldas and the return to top down zelda feels just as good, if not better, than aLTTP.
-
Beyond Good & Evil does an incredible, incredible job at world building. It's just the right length, has a unique photo taking "minigame" strewn throughout and is zeldalike it that it has "dungeons" with some secret locations interspersed throughout.
-
Sunshine has some great improvements over 64, but something about it just doesn't feel right. Camera can feel down right clunky at parts and the rise when hover flood feels a bit too slow. You can really get going fast in sunshine but it's interspersed with slow portions that don't feel to great.
-
The only problem with MGS2 is the camera is sometimes poorly placed. The story is great; as is the "story".
-
I played this after playing persona 4 golden. It has a very interesting premise and has great gameplay. The gameplay really shines here by incorporating many systems and having a fast and loose feel not many JRPGs have. The demon recruitment system and fusion overhauls are great.
-
This is one of the best games I've ever played but its too early to say where it sits on my favorite of all time list. I'll come back in 1 or 2 years time play it again and see where it stands.
-
The first elder scrolls game I ever played and my favorite of the series. I put 300 hours into my first save of this.
-
Skyrim is a big game, but there's not much to do beyond go kill stuff in a cave/house/field. I prefer the old skill system from oblivion and feel that there was more of mystique to oblivion overall. Skyrim is good but some parts of it keep it from surpassing oblivion for me despite its improvements to some areas such as combat and the way magic is used.
-
Metroid prime is a great metroid game and an example of fps done right on console. It's aiming mechanic is right at home on console in that you pivot on the xy plane until you aim at which point you can move up and down. Surprised this mechanic hasn't shown up on more console shooters since I prefer this on console.
-
I really like bastion for the first hour or so but something after that just made it lose me. I came back after a year or two to finish it and felt lukewarm towards it in the end.
-
Arkham Asylum is the best of the arkham games. The tight level design and stealth mechanics really make this game great. Some metroidvania elements mixed in make it all the better.

Its also good, but feels sort of bland.

Alright.... when i say beat, I've beat the game standard and got up to the point where you travel to the true boss. I'm still trying to this day to get through that corridor. The game has this sort of bizarre mystical feeling to me.

Lacks the mystery of Pikmin simply because Pikmin already exists, but gameplay is greatly improved. I don't particular like that a lot of time is spent in caves and the like as it moves away from the fascinating environments of pikmin.
-
There's no other game like pikmin, expect pikmin 2 or 3. A unique spin on RTS that works incredibly well with a controller.

The best Fallout. Obsidian takes the environmental story telling of fallout 3's smaller locales and makes it play a large role in the main story. Even the smallest side quest intersects some other part of the world. Fallout: NV does not make a case that there are shades of grey between the legion and the NCR but it can easily be interpreted that way for worse.
-
It's no Dark souls 1 but gets alot right. bonfire placement feels strange in parts. The last boss is my favorite of the series.
-
The first dead space was something special that wasn't matched in the second or third games, which dropped the horror for a more action feel.
-
-
The quintessential stylish action game.
-
-
The perfect blend of gameplay and atmosphere to tell a short story. Impressivley designed bosses that act as a platforming level. The droll nature of the environment plays great contrast to the sparse jungled areas and the blue lights of runes and colossi parts.
