Everyone is doing their own thing and happy and I hope that allows for a lot of guest spots. I'd love to see Jeff come back for a bombcast or something like that but he also might have cut ties with the corporate end of things so much that he wouldn't be interested in a GB thing. Regardless, I'm glad he has more time for his family and is still able to do his thing but no one can deny he has been profoundly influential in games journalism and maybe he didn't want it to feel like he was quitting video games? I mean, a lot of this is speculation but I'm glad everyone seems to be doing all right.

This has been happening to me on my PS4, not a huge deal but I figured I’d add myself to the list here.

Get this on my PS4 a lot and just had it happen on the site.

I am having the same 'video just doesn't load in the GB player' issue. (Firefox 79.0). Everything is whitelisted and all of that.

Edit: FWIW, the 'download' method works for me.

I'm kind of surprised to see so many people objecting to refunds, I've absolutely seen plenty of cases where I live where people get refunds for shitty food or when they walk out of a movie, wouldn't know about concerts. At the least, you get some kind of reimbursement / replacement. I think if this had come out on steam there would've been a lot of refunds, I couldn't fairly tell you how long any one individual needs to play this to see that it's held together with duct-tape and bubblegum (and I say this as someone who does still play it here and there) and if I had to pay full retail for it, I'd be a lot more irritated by it but I'm finding a drip-feed in terminals and holotapes that scratch some Fallout itches that I really like such as Modus, the Enclave computer, having had a couple of transcribed conversations with ZAX [the computer at the bottom of The Glow in Fallout 1

It might sound like a really minor thing but I really thought it was neat. It's still a minuscule balm for all the places this game chafes you, however. There are also other little things around that I enjoy but I can fully admit there's some serious work that needs to be done for this to be worth the price they ask. I can see trying to bear it and see if it gets better and finding that it just does not improve for you and requesting a refund. A refund policy like Steam's would have torn plenty of money out of their pockets for the amount of people I imagine are furious with the game.

As someone who enjoys this game they certainly are doing a great deal of work to try and stop that.

Yeah, it seems if people aren't nuking the golf course the only other place they nuke is the prime fissure site. Honestly, they could just adjust the spawns at Whitespring if that was the biggest problem. Though that place gets pretty damn intense. I'm not in high end power-armor or using legendaries (though my double-double-barrel is kind of hilarious) but ghouls basically pour out of that place like the blood from the elevator in The Shining without a nuke present, afterward it's a nightmare.

Maybe the post-50 damage knock and XP drop on high level monsters is to kind of make power-levelling people harder? Then again, they could've just penalized based on level differentials on the player being power levelled if that was all they wanted. Not that Bethesda seems to make a lot of decisions with a lot of logic in this game, however.

The item-duplication is what the biggest issue is, it's putting ridiculously powerful weapons in the hands of tons of people for cheap, it's ruined the market on them when you can just make another.

E: They updated the patch notes just now to reveal some of the other changes made that were not surfaced such as Robobrains having the wrong loot table and adding bulk repair resources to all vendors and having the scorchbeast queen's DR lowered by 20% etc)

Yeah, still nothing you can use Atoms on but cosmetics. I mean, maybe the camo patters could be advantageous? I have certainly nearly shot some people wearing them thinking they were super mutants as I turned to catch them. Thankfully pacifist mode prevents that becoming an issue. Even if you blended in well you can still be targeted in VATS (it certain feels like it gravitates to players before mobs when you use it) but you can get chameleon gear if stealth is mega important to you. Then you just have the tell-tale shimmer.

I play a decent amount solo but the game is loads better with a friend or more. The XP system is kind of weird when it comes to kills but getting XP from friend's quests as they're completed is nice (it's a fraction). I definitely wish I had more than one buddy to play with and I certainly did not pay full retail on this, I would not have bought it at 60. There is a litany of problems I could mention about this game but it -does- have some cool locations to explore. The endgame is stupid as hell but exploring The Ash Heap was super cool to me with the burning coal veins and the remainders of 'strike breaker' robots and the skeletons of people protesting the automation of mining. There are a lot of good stories you can find about the region adding more and more automation and people's struggles to find work and support their families. As well as corporate bigshots exchanging emails about improved margins of profit or grisly malfunctions as well as middle-men forced to hire robots just to stay competitive and the lament of having to let good people go. If this had been a more focused sort of singleplayer thing about the region and how automation caused it to erupt and destroy itself I think it could be pretty engrossing but there's so many MMO hooks that make it weird and hard to feel immersed in. I don't understand why they couldn't actually have people representing the factions, with the BoS the person could literally just be in a helmet and you don't have to worry about lip sync or facial expressions at all.
