I want to bump this to say that Onrush is currently $36 on the US Playstation store. I think I'm about to buy it, since I was immediately intrigued by the QL, but disheartened by its initial $60 price tag. The game doesn't seem to have a large player base, based on its unpopulated Reddit and few threads here. But hopefully this sale will give it a good boost!
It took my thirty or so attempts to beat the roller-coaster clown boss on the second island but I eventually did it. And it felt good! I don't think an easier version of this game would be as good. I dread to think how long it will take me to do later bosses.
I'm still having a blast. I think this game has made me shout 'oh shit!' out loud in joy at what is happening on screen more than any other game this year.
I'm on the third world as of now and this was the worst boss for me so far. Must've died around 30 times as well, half those times getting within seconds of beating it. Brutal, but loving the game.
I didn't really laugh at all during the first episode, Reptilicus. Couldn't even finish it, even. But Cry Wilderness, on the other hand, was an absolute riot. Really great stuff in that one, so I'll definitely be continuing on with this reboot.
Another nitpick here: I really dislike it when the camera centers on the left side of the character. It feels weird and makes me think they should have had a toggle for that kinda thing. You know, click in the right stick to switch the aiming perspective to one side or the other. It never occurs when aiming is happening, just when you're walking through the world. Not that big of a problem though.
I'm totally with you on this one. I can't believe there isn't a camera switch toggle. It's a small nitpick to a wonderful game, though.
Horizon and Mass Effect are the ones I'm most likely to buy on or around launch. There's not much else I'm excited for coming out relatively soon but I'm happy for others who are looking forward to all these games. Nioh and Nier seem cool.
