Welcome Home: A REview of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard 0

That logo treatment is incredible. It’s been a little more than 20 years since the release of the original Resident Evil changed the landscape of video games forever. It’s a game series I literally grew up with, as it saw its original American release mere months before I was born. My initial encounters with the game were through watching my older brother and cousins play it for countless hours, all before I even had any idea how to handle a controller in order to experience it myself...

An Iron Giant 0

2013’s Xbox-exclusive Titanfall seemed to come and go with relatively little fanfare despite the incredible hype it garnered prior to its release. With Titanfall 2 (available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC), Respawn Entertainment aims to revitalize its series in hopes of providing an experience that makes good on the original’s monumental expectations. Titanfall 2 delivers in nearly every respect, becoming one of the absolute best games of 2016.Whereas its predecessor contained only multip...

Video Games Are Art 0

In Playdead’s Inside, you’ll spend your short time with it roaming a side-scrolling, dystopian world that’s quite alien to the one that we live in. It’s a world that’s almost entirely devoid of color, and entirely devoid of friends, in a game that is at all times captivating, horrifying, and breathtaking. You control a faceless young boy, whom you’ll soon find out is being hunted by similarly faceless men -- men who will not hesitate to gun you down on sight if...

Underwater, No One Can Hear You Scream 0

2015 has been an incredible year for video games, and even the horror genre has seen its fair share of great games, too. The latest game to join the ranks is SOMA, a sci-fi first-person horror game for PC and PS4 from the folks at Frictional Games. The developer is known for being responsible for creating what’s typically thought of as being one of the scariest video games of all time, 2010’s Amnesia: The Dark Descent. After five years, Frictional Games is releasing their follow-up ...

From Dusk (Un)Till Dawn 6

The summer is behind us and school is back in session, but being a fan of video games, that’s actually good news! It’s usually the release of the latest edition of Madden every year that reigns in the fall period of game releases but this year, Madden 16 was not alone in its late summer release date. The Playstation 4 exclusive horror title from Supermassive Games, Until Dawn, is what I see as being the first great game in a fantastic looking fall lineup this year.Until Dawn tells a...

Guns. Drugs. Sex. All For Just $1 (Or 80 Microsoft Space Bucks). 0

I really like this game, like a lot (look at the top editor). I found it just the other day after I had a dollar left over after buying another magnificent XBLIG game, Wizorb. It was the first time I'd ever heard of this when I stumbled upon it. Just the name was enough to draw me to it. Super Amazing Wagon Adventure. It's just such a mouthful that perfectly fits the game. It's simply just an amazing adventure.Basically, Super Amazing Wagon Adventure (or SAWA as I will continue to call it) is a ...

The Darkest of all Knights 0

In 2009, Rocksteady released a little game called Batman: Arkham Asylum. It quickly became one of the most beloved superhero games ever made, and with good reason. Fast forward two some years, and we have a new title in the series, Batman: Arkham City.Arkham City takes place a year after the events of Arkham Asylum. Arkham Asylum has been deserted, and now all of the criminals have been moved to a secluded section of Gotham City, now called Arkham City. Supervillain Hugo Strange has somehow beco...

Go for the Head! 3

Dead Island is the newest game from developer Techland (The people behind the Call of Juarez series) and publisher Deep Silver (Nail'd, Risen, My Animal Centre just to name a few). To best describe Dead Island, I'd have to say it's most like Fallout 3 and Borderlands (Which I'm sure you've heard countless times already). That is a good thing, since Fallout 3 and Borderlands are some of the best games I've played this generation. Add zombies into the mix, and this could be heavenly. Sadly, it isn...

Puzzle Gameplay + Mature Themes = Good, but a little messy. 0

Catherine has been out for a while in Japan, and us Americans (and Europeans) have been eagerly awaiting for it to see the light of day with English voice work and on our store shelves.  Finally, we get to experience the magic (and faults) of it.   Catherine stars Vincent Brooks, a 32 year old man who has been in a relationship with a girl named Katherine for a large amount of years. So many that he can't even remember.  So, you may be thinking, "Why is it called Catherine with a C, when his gi...
