As I was looking through Kotaku, I came across a calculator for LBP. And I thought "How hard can it be?". I watched the video and crickey! Did it shock me. It was bloody amazing. Although I don't own a Ps3, I'm very keen to know about LPB. And I hope that Microsoft would/will release something like that, and lately I've started liking the PS3 more than the Xbox 360. Really, because I think the PS3 has more games that I like than the Xbox 360. Wii... Well, Wii is still not the right console for the hardcore people. But that changed a bit when they showed the new build of the Conduit... Hell do I want that game!
Ok, my brain hasn't really been up to gaming lately (although my exam week is over). The only game related thing I've been doing this weekend has been playing Spore. I'm not really sure what I should think of that game, really! I'm not sure if it's brilliant game or mediocre. Oh sure the game mechanics are new. But the game in itself is quite shallow. I mean, come on. I got to the space stage in one sitting, and that annoyed me quite much. The civilization stage was too simplistic and I was hoping for something more. But no. But maybe the best thing about the game is the creators. There are so many things you can build with it! It's bloody mind blowing! And now that I'm ready with this, I'm probably gonna go and mess around with it a lil bit more.
Is this blog supposed to be gaming related? Well too bad, since I can't think about gaming.... No I was lying thou I have had some time to play some S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl.
I still have some problems with that game, since when I'm immersed at most, and I save... BANG! Crash, and I have start where I last saved (which is usually quite far from where the game crashed). It's annoying as hell, because that is a game I would like to immerse myself in. And to be frank, I would consider myself as a "post apocalyptic junkie". I'm always searching for games that have a theme to do something with post apocalyptic, for example: A few days ago, there came a map for Gmod, that was post apocalyptic, and god did I like it! Because I must say, that guy has some skills! I sat playing that map for a couple of hours straight, when I should have read to my geography exam.
In other gaming related stuff.... well... Good news! I'm (finally) getting Spore on thursday. Christ I've been waiting a long time for a new game to play. Hopefully spore will live up to my expectations.
But I can't decide wether I should buy S.T.A.L.K.E.R.Clear Sky or Too Human next. Anyone wanna pay for'em both? O
Finally the first exam week is over! Thou I have yet another week, I can finally dig into something gaming related! First off, bungies teaser. I think it's quite bare bones. There's pictures of New Mombasa, Regrets ship going into slipspace and HEVs going into orbit. Well I myself think it has (hopefully) something to do with ODSTs. I myself am a big ODST fan, since they're the elite of the normal marines and they're BAD ASS! I'm really looking forward for some more information about the new game/expansion. Otherwise I've dowloaded two demos: Fracture and Mercenaries II. I've only played Fracture a bit and I haven't touched Mercenaries II. Fracture seems quite nice, but I'm wondering if the gameplay mechanics will keep up and won't get old. It seems like it's just a tech demo that has been developed into a game. But we'll have to see.
Not sure what to write about, my mind is quite empty and I probably shouldn't be doing this for the moment, but what the heck. The last few days have been a bloody blackout for me, I can't remember doing anything gaming related, not even THINKING about games (Horrendus, huh?), and to be honest, it feels quite nice. But I guess when I get back into gaming I'm gonna be thinking "What the hell was so nice about NOT thinking about games".
New school, so little time. After school started I haven't had time (or money) to buy any new games. The list is long and it's growing all the time. I was supposed to buy Too Human back in august (Yes, what a shock ,ey?), but bloody hell! School started on the 14th of august, and Too Human came out a week or two afterwards... and god dammit, I haven't had time to buy ANY game since summer. For the moment the first exam week is underway and I won't have any bloody time to do/buy anything else then study... sigh... I'm still planning to buy Too Human and a bunch of other games when this nightmare is over. But then I have to ask myself this question: 1. Do I have enough money to buy them? and if no, 2. When will I have enough money to buy them? and if never, 3. Who of you people reading this blog will buy them for me?
Not sure if you know about a podcast called GFW Radio (Games For Windows Radio), well, it used to be one my highlights of the week, a part of me was crushed when I heard they're gonna stop broadcasting it, I know it sounds silly but since it is/was the only decent PC Podcast that I could find. I'm no longer sure where I can find that humor, that seriousness and that dedication. Sure there is the IGN podcasts, but I don't just feel for them anymore. I have always thought that the 1Up podcasts have more class. By the way, I think I forgot to explain why they've stopped recording. The host of the podcast (Jeff Green) left for Sims team at EA, and the other host (Shawn Elliot) left for 2K Boston to work for Ken Levine. I will always miss this podcast, and I don't think I will find a replacement for the gap it left in the near future. I wish the best of luck to Jeff Green and Shawn Elliot. Hopefully someone will do a so epic PC Podcast again, but I guess that'll just have to remain as a dream. If you know of any good PC Podcast please leave the adress in comments.
