I understand you volunteer. I understand you make mistakes, that is totally fine.

But there should be some kind of retribution! I'm not saying that everybody that gets rejected once should get a load of points.. But repeat victims should at least get something. And I can't resubmit, because the time it takes for it to go through, get rejected, submit again, and get looked at again.. It will be a repeat!


ALSO.
I understand that all moderators are different, but that means that if I submit something, and it gets rejected, I could just submit it again [the exact same] and have it accepted! That is stupid. That should not happen.

To all that are telling me to resubmit:

I just looked, and everything (including Chuck Norris, and Jump! Ultimate Stars, and others) was submitted by somebody else, and accepted.
The person that submitted JUS got over 400 points. FOUR HUNDRED. And that's just for one of the many rejections that I have faced.

That's no excuse. Majority of the points that the site gives out will be given out here in the first month.
After that, the only new points given out will be for new games. Everything else will have been taken.

I just got three more of these annoyances, and I'm sure I'll continue to get more..

Resubmitting the stuff is time consuming (double the amount of work/time, for only the credits for one), and a lot of the stuff was submitted and accepted after me.

With a point system like this, the early days are the most important ones. The early days determine who has power on this site.
The moderators are rejecting possible future moderators (-meep-) by doing this, and even if somebody else gets the points... It's just an unbalanced system.

The moderators need a little "chat"...

It's just not working.. And I'm extremely reluctant to submit because of it.. I love the site, and I want to contribute (hopefully eventually moderate, and show those buggers how it's done...), but that's never going to happen if I don't submit, and that's never going to happen because what I do submit gets rejected...

Let me just cut to the chase, going over a few examples of what has happened to me...


I submitted a Chuck Norris (real name Charley Ray "Chuck" Norris) page be added a while ago. He has a video
game which is on the website, and shows up if you just type chuck in the search bar (Chuck Norris Superkicks).
I got it rejected, with this as the comment:
"If there's a Chuck Norris game that you know of, please let us know! Thanks anyway."
Then, somebody else submits a Chuck Norris page, and it goes through!

NEXT!

I submit a page about Globox, Rayman's sidekick. In my "about" section of the submission, I note that he is from
a species of animals called the glutes.
Rejected, with the following comment:
"The Globox are a species and therefore belong as a concept. Please resubmit. Thanks!"
Do they even read what they moderate? NEXT!

I submit an addition to the end of the Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc blurb. To the end. I don't change any part of it,
just the end.
Rejected, with the following comment:
"The existing blurb speaks more about the game, thanks though."
How can it speak more about the game if the exact same text is in my submission, with added detail? NEXT!

This last one that I got now just really ticked me off.I submitted a new game, titled Jump Ultimate Stars. In the
"why should we add this" section, I explain how the first game, Jump Super Stars, is already on the website.. So
why not have the second game?
Rejected, with the following comment:"If you wanted to add the second one, then add the second one. Not the first
game again. Thank you."

It was the second game! That's what I submitted! You could have learned that a number of ways!If you had
looked at the about section, I said that it was the second game in the series!
If you had looked at the why section, I said that the first game is already on the site, so why not add this one.

If you had looked at the picture that I supplied with it, you would have seen that it's different than the one for the
first game!



Do I really need to explain myself any further? I have several more examples of lousy moderation such as this, and
I'm sure much more will come.
This is such a huge bug. Please fix it.I'm not going to say what to do, that's up to you [admin].

If you look at the facts (sales), Metroid Prime 3: Corruption wasn't a BIG game...


Not to say that it's not a good game.. But perhaps you should consider these BIGGER games...

Mario Party 8
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games
Wii Fit
Mario Kart Wii
Super Paper Mario
Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree
Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock

Now, I'm not saying that these games are the best (gameplay-wise, graphics-wise, etc.), but all these games (along with Wii Sports, Wii Play, and the games you mentioned) sold more than two million copies worldwide (except for MP3; selling 1.3+m).


Next big games? The only immediate game that comes to mind as selling a lot besides anything made by Nintendo is Guitar Hero: World Tour. That should, and hopefully will, be really big.

I can't believe somebody managed to submit a "Chuck Norris" page before me.. And they got it accepted, even with the name wrong!...

And looking at their stats, they updated it's information just before I did!

DAMNIT.
