The fact that Sony can't seem to drop the price to at least $299 for the 80gb, and that since E3 05 and 06 they've been chronic liars about the Ps3's capabilities. I keep reminding myself that the Ps3 has GOOD games that I want to play, and that resenting them for stupid shit their suits have said is petty of me, but then I'll get linked by someone to a youtube video of an old press conference, and I'm reminded just what a long line of bullshit they strung along when they were gearing up for the Ps3 launch. As a fan since the original Xbox, it pissed me off to no end how much people shit all over the 360's honestly mediocre looking tech demos when compared to CG that Sony claimed was realtime achieved after like 6 months in the developers hands... that was supposedly going to run at native 1080p and 60fps for practically every Ps3 title, and if you wanted you could attach TWO 1080P TVS THROUGH IT'S TWO HDMI PORTS AND GET UBER-WIDESCREEN GAMING.

While I honestly believe that the brand new consoles on store shelves right now are just as reliable as the Ps3s across from them, I'm sure many people (including myself) don't own a Jasper so I suppose it IS still an issue even though it shouldn't be.

The biggest reasons I want a Ps3 right now are Blu-Ray movies and LittleBigPlanet. Killzone 2 looks great, but I'm still questioning how great it plays considering GG's limited track record, what I've seen of it so far, and having to play it with Ps3 sticks & triggers. I'm not going to buy it just because it looks beautiful, it's nothing I don't think would be possible on a 360 with a similarly talented art and tech team.

While I do think the PlayStation name still carries a fair bit of weight, it's not nearly enough to carry you past a fully integrated online experience with 8 person parties, features like achievements and cross game invites being a requirement for certification, or the fact that over 99% of cross platform titles that ship simultaneously look and/or play better on the 360. Oh, and $199. And exclusives that not only have potential, or critical acclaim, but manage to back it up with a half decent ad campaign that do the games justice, and sales that actually chart. By rights LittleBigPlanet should be up there in sales with Gears 2 and CoD:WaW on 360, but Sony and their loyal fans have their heads so far up their asses that they think the Sony PlayStation name and mystical voodoo graphical "potential for superiority" by itself will sell consoles, and Sony's ad campaign has their heads so far up their asses that they think amazingly quality titles like LBP and Killzone 2 will just sell themselves without getting the word out to people who might have an interest in them, but have never heard of or seen them because they don't live on the internet. Sony should be putting the most badass 3 minutes of HD in-game Killzone 2 they can muster, slap a "100% REAL TIME GAMEPLAY" banner across the bottom of the screen, and put it in front of movies at the theater.

I'd rather have London first... driving with GTA4 vehicle physics would be pretty sick in Tokyo though if the roads in the PGR games are any evidence.
