He won first round, barely.
He kicked my ass second round.
Match three... beat me again, though I took him first round.
Match four, took me again.
Match five, got me with a Raging Demon.
Match six, hit me with a Raging Demon reverse, WTF.
 
Alright well, the dude is good. I have no idea how he hits those Raging Demon Supers so quick, honestly. Usually a c.LP (x3) makes room for a Somersault Kick, but jesus, he powered right through that with a Raging Demon.
 
You guys should have seen the first match though, it was fucking hilarious. We were evenish, and he went to go sweep me, and I launched a Somersault Explosion and got him with it. I hoped back and taunted him and jumped back, and then then taunted and came after me. I was like, "OH SHIT IT'S ON."
 
But yeah, he said good games. The reason why he's so good is his adaptability to peoples' playstyles is impeccable. He soon knew if he did a Fierce Dive Kick I would (always) launch a Somersault Kick on wakeup (because I think I'd get him, and it wouldn't autocorrect) and he's use that to his advantage. I was able to avoid at least half of his Raging Demons, though he stopped throwing the Ultra Demons out once I was able to avoid them, but yeah, Stang, he mashes the shit out of those Super Demons like nothing.
 
Anyway, he's a standup guy. I thought he might be a dick, but he's totally cool.

I don't understand where your complaint comes from. Would you have preferred if he launched all of his fireablls unstoppably at you and played annoying keepaway? The only issue I had was him mashing Demon Supers, if you could really even call it that. He was just breaking through my weak links when he executed it. If he gets you and you're not jabbing, he understands zoning impeccably, and that's why he can get you with it. With Raging Demon Ultras, you have a quarter of a second to get out of the way. With a Demon Super, if he;s right next to you, you can't get away.

I guess I'm better at playing keepaway and staying out of those situations, then. But then again, Guile isn't reliant on combos per se, but single, damaging attacks. Hm. That's an interesting way to think about it.

@Blueglenn: No it is perfectly legit, that works offline doesn't it? JR is viewed as a pro, yet does some insanely bullshit stuff. He absolutely destroyed me, I can't deny it. If he played clean, it would not have been the same outcome. I still probably would have lost, but at least I could have played. I would love to see that done at a tournament against the big boys, that kind of nonsense would get you laughed out of the venue.  It is fun playing against somebody knowing that you could be interrupted at any moment because of mashing, isn't it.
