@atheistpreacher AFAIK the food scenes are indeed live action. There was an article somewhere which I'm too tired to find but it's a hilarious idea

Good morning,

After being discussed on recent podcasts by one Dan Ryckert, and after the reception received by the other duders, I spent the morning traipsing around the countryside with my phone out and Merlin active, capturing the souls (I think that's how it works) of all the birds around me.

What's cool about it is that it tells you the "rarity" of the birds. I was in the ruins of an old abbey, and it looks like a Eurasian Kestrel has made a crumbling tower it's home, which rules. I couldn't see it very well, But the audio was very clear.

I also found a Eurasian blue Tit and a Great tit which amused me greatly because I am a child.

This app rules. It was a lot of fun and added a great dimension to my weekend Big Long Walk. I can't recommend it enough.

Maybe it would be nice to post any cool pics / entries of badass birds in this thread?

Below is part of the entry for the kestrel and also a terrible photo I took of a hooded crow from about 200feet and the app still recognised it.

Slay the spire. One more run syndrome is real.

These days, balatro.

I know there were issues with audio that they were fixing in post, that might explain the delay

@bisonhero: they said on the podcast today that for UPF this week (I think) they are gonna set up four of the same seed and try and see who can beat it first / get the furthest.

I am playing a fucked up amount of this game. I am supposed to be studying but it is consuming my brain. I'm going to stay in work tomorrow evening to study and specifically to avoid going home where balatro lies in wait.

@zombiepie: yeah I think eventually a dockable, switch like game pass machine that I can play COD on is a likely outcome of all this.

Many years ago some buddies of mine were trying to get me to go to the pub but I was broke. I took out my wallet to open it and demonstrate that I had no money, and when I opened it in front of them an actual moth flew out, did a few loops and flew away.

@atheistpreacher: It's funny, I really like a well done first person narrative but my friends have serious issues with them. I love the Robin hobb books but I have a friend who can't read them because of the first person thing.
