@ybbaaabby: Okay! I remember you trying the gamepad and it looked like you started hitting the buttons a lot earlier, but I don't know, only you can know how the timing feels. I just remember getting a new TV and it making this game practically unplayable, so I'm a bit fussy about it. Everyone deserves a pure Rhythm Heaven Fever experience, you know? I know how annoying unsolicited internet advice can be, so I'm sorry and I'll leave it alone. Thanks for the response!
"Everything's a little sooner than I think it should be."
I don't want to be the guy that keeps harping on the input lag, but it seems like it's gotten real bad with this new setup. I know Ringside was a piece of cake last time. Abby, if you plug your headphones into the gamepad (and it'll take some adjustment to get used to the new timing, for sure) I think you'll have a much better time. Hope I'm not being obnoxious.
I didn't realize how much input lag Abby was dealing with until she plugged the headphones into the gamepad and started hitting the button way early. I'd say adjusting to that would make the game feel a lot more natural and easier, but hey, she's gotten this far.
This was great! Partly because yes, this is one of my favorite games, but it's also a lot more satisfying to see someone improve and conquer these levels than to see someone breeze right through them. Hope Abby sees this one through.
Probably asked before, but is abby playing off the capture screen or a direct monitor/TV? Could there be some input lag getting introduced somewhere?
Almost definitely, and even a small amount makes this game brutal to play. I said this on the first video, but the solution for me was an adapter to redirect the Wii's audio to an external speaker/headphones. Kind of a pain in the ass, but worth it.
