Thanks so much for this thread! I absolutely love Picross 3D (Round 2 is one of my all-time favorite games) but I’ve had no luck finding other games of its kind. I’ll definitely be losing some hours to this over the coming week.

As of the last few weeks, videos always run perfectly until about 10 minutes in, where they freeze and become impossible to resume. I’m using Bomb Cyclone on iPhone X. Never had issues with it before. Tried rebooting/reinstalling the app to no avail.

I just want to chime in to say that the player interface is awesome now! It's great to be able to know at a glance who uploaded/wrote the description, who appeared in the video, and what was played. The cast will be particularly helpful with guests! Being able to see a list of videos in which a given person is in would be really handy down the line, but the current design is sweet.

@aktivity: All signs point towards them specifically targeting card game enthusiasts, not the average person willing to try out any high profile free-to-start game. They got Richard Garfield (designer of MTG and Netrunner) as lead designer to craft a trading card game specifically for the digital format. He's gone on record saying it couldn't work in a physical format, and that he deliberately made it more complex than the competition, as he was disinterested in the simplified direction the market took. Above all, the game is a digital *trading* card game, not a collectible card game like Hearthstone. The couple-hundred cards included in the $20 base game (comparable to a MTG starter kit) can be traded with other Steam users and sold back on the Marketplace piecemeal. If you decide to drop the game, you can turn all of your cards into Steam wallet funds. That's why this game costs money up front and offers card packs.

@49th: 5-3 is designed to spawn you in a disadvantageous spot for fighting Lil H. The trick is to quickly clear out a relatively enclosed set of rooms during the period before he drops in, and then take shots at him from cover while clearing out IDPD as they spawn. Whenever he shouts out, you'll see a shadow at his next landing spot so you know where to avoid. If you don't have Boiling Veins or an active Strong Spirit halo, make sure to attack him from as far as possible once you think he's at low health so you have room to avoid his kamikaze death. Good luck!

Also, here's a secret tip for being hella OP at Nuclear Throne: While playing as Y.V., hit the 'b' key

You really should put a spoiler tag on shit like this, it has game-breaking levels of awesomeness ;P

@sagesebas: You definitely reach a point where the first half of the game becomes second nature. I typically kill Big Bandit before he can even get an attack off, which is a refreshing power trip after getting whipped by random enemies for hours haha. Plus, if you get bored of that and want to make the game brutal again, you can skip up to 5 levels by opening the chests in a desert level without killing enemies, which spawns Big Bandit early. Killing him quickly will open 1-?, a shortcut stage that brings you right to Big Dog with none of the rads and weapons you normally would have earned on the way.

The weapons are quite varied and fun; The endgame weapons especially can completely change the feel of a run, and different combinations handle certain levels better than others.

@onekillwonder_:Yeah, I generally consider starting with defensive or ammo related mutations to be the best course of action so you can postpone weapon type mutations until you get a good drop. However, a nice thing about the endgame is that you can get some gold weapons solid enough to hinge a build on.

@bisonhero: Congratulations on the win! Steroids is pretty great for boss fights due to his sheer DPS; There's little more satisfying than unloading full-auto with both hands and tearing the throne down quickly.

@clagnaught: For clarity, NT has 28 character-agnostic mutations and 3 unique to each character, and around 120 weapons. Not sure how you were killed by 10 enemies offscreen in 6-1, since 90% of the enemies there are melee and the rest don't trigger until you step near them, but assuming you're very lucky, you've probably seen around 60% of the weapons and a couple of the ultra mutations.
