Abby's reaction to this comment section on this weeks Beastcast cracked me up.

I’m going to join the list of people who think this feature is ill conceived. Yes every country has its dark periods, but the USA’s is almost all dark and it’s always seemed strange how it’s citizens rejoice in it. The whole country was built on the mass slaughter of an indigenous peoples who’s descendants now want to stop anyone emigrating in to the US despite being descendants of immigrants themselves. People in the US seem forget their history when it’s convenient. Or just don’t bother learning it to start with.

you should learn about the history of other countries, you might find some bad things they did to the indigenous people there. And yeah, every American is pro trump and totally against immigration, you nailed it 100%.

RIP Episodic Hitman.

Has it been confirmed that this new one isn't episodic?

I am a bit disappointed with this, even as someone who is still very happy with this game being similar in form to many Hitman games before, which I loved. There will still only be 6 levels so I think they will be very detailed. That's less than the old games so ultimately I think they are still doing things pretty similarly to last time, which I'm happy with.

Anyways, the episodic release ended up being a cool way to come back to the game over time. Maybe this game will end up having DLC in a similar way and that amount of live content. They did specifically say there will be free live content. But I think if we are expecting Giant Bomb content for this game again throughout the year how last time went maybe we will be let down.

It didn't add anything at all to the "content" and just created a comment-storm (which, I guess, was the intent? - they're smart people and knew this reaction was coming).

lol. or the comment section has completely flown off the handle and they didn't see this insane reaction coming to dan dressing up as the statue of liberty. couldn't be that...

@ht101: Hey, man. I've beaten Oregon Trail multiple times and even I don't know how much of anything to buy in that game, anymore. I don't get annoyed by people "playing games wrong," but I even moreso wouldn't blame someone for not knowing how to play this efficiently.

yeah that's the thing about this oregon trail set up. You aren't given any clues when you are dumped into the store and have to make the big buying decisions. It's part of why the design isn't great to me but with experience you figure it out.

I've seen a lot of bad Giant Bomb comment sections but we really have hit a new high water mark for an absolute dumpster fire with this one. From the complete mischaracterization of the game Oregon Trail, to what the crew says in this video, and on through taking someone wearing a completely stupid Uncle Sam costume as if they are wearing Nazi Garb, this comment section has it all. Truly impressive.

A lot of you guys need to A) get out more often B) do some breathing exercises C) learn more about history trying to act as if this Trump era is somehow different from other points in American history in a lot of ways if you're going to jump in and act like you know what you're talking about, even if you want to be this fragile and outraged about a completely mundane and in jest form of patriotism like this.

I hope you guys don't live in America or plan on hiding for the entirely of July 4th or you may have a heart attack.

Maybe take a step back and realize when you celebrate America, you are not celebrating Trump or embracing every single moment of American history as positive. Trump has driven so much of this country, and the world it seems, insane watching him that people can't make these rather simple distinctions.

Anyways,

great fun video GB crew. This was the version I played as a kid. Enjoyed this fun silly video for what it was.
